Other Video Game Releases

Other than the MxO what games are people anticipating.  This year is going to have a lot of shooters coming out: Doom 3, Far Cry, UT 2004, Half Life 2 (hopefully).  I myself am looking forward to Half Life 2 very much.  If you haven't seen the videos do yourself a favor and download them.  http://www.fileplanet.com/files/120000/123983.shtml

I'm looking forward to Halo 2, The Getaway 2, Doom 3, and Gran Turismo 4.  I'm sure there's others that I'm forgetting, but those are the main one's.

Uh...I know it's dorky, but I'm really looking forward to Kingdom Hearts on the GBA.  I loved that game!

Ya, im looking foward to KH:CoM to. Hopefully we'll get a suprise and KH 2 will be released this year instead of next....

Im hoping that Metroid Prime does come out this year, as well as the new zelda and mario, all of which they said are coming out this year. All of the shooters(except for Halo 2, halo didnt impress me) are peaking my interest, and farcry is the best game ive been playing since, well, ff vii or Half Life. Also, World Of Warcraft seems to be shapig up to an excellent game.

Is anybody anticipating the new handhelds?  If so, which are you hoping for more, PSP or Nintendo DS?

DS, definitely.  Nintendo has a great record with handheld games, and all the perks of the DS (wireless, voice support, etc.) make it quite tempting.

WHAT?!?!? halo didn't impress u? are you kidding me? u must of lost :*( halo is and will always be one of the best games...PERIOD. better than any mario or metroid game, especially zelda, only good zeldas were the first like 3 they came out for nintendo, everything up to know is just easy and boring. ok later guys

Halo hardly unseats the legacy of the games you mentioned above.  While a good game, it's part of a genre that appeals to a niche market.  The other games you've mentioned were accessible to all corners of the market and have been entertaining millions for over a decade, and designed from the ground up by what the industry describes as legends.

Halo's a good game, sure.  One title in a long line of good first person shooters.  But there are many titles available to the public now that provide a better multiplayer experience.  Case in point: Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow.

I've lost interest in the GTA games, i bought the first 1 loved it, even with its poor graphics even for a PS1, bought the second 1, didn't like it, was to much the same as the first 1. Then bought the first 1 liked it even more than the 1st one mainly cos of the graphics and weapons and cars and everything else. the bought VC but thought it was to similar to the 3rd and 4th, so wont be buying that.

The only real game im looking forward to is MGS 3 Snake Eater, ive seen som clips of it and it looks kooo.

splinter cell....no ty :/ had the first game for xbox and it wasn't even up to speed with some of the games ive played. it was really easy and really short, let alone the only multiplaying on splinter cell was dl new lvls? lame....course halo was before xbox live but ill play halo WAY before ill even put splinter cell back into my xbox, at least its challenging. :*( ok later

you know what, even though its a seven year old game, goldeneye still whoops on any multiplayer mode of any fps out there imo. Although the graphics are extremely dated, the gameplay is equal, possibly superb to halo.

And no, i was actually pretty decent at halo. Its just the only thing that impressed me was the graphics. Which i'll still say our WOW to look at.
