If you haven't done so yet, go sign up for Beta! They will be starting closed Beta later this month! The link is http://thematrixonline.warnerbros.com/web/beta/signup.jsp

Somehow, I stopped receiving newsletters from the official site some time ago, so I was pleasantly surprised when I visited earlier today and saw the beta signups. Very promising.

ya they have stopped for a long time, btw, do you think you can make your signature smaller its a bit big!

My standard signature size is still 525x170 from the standards of the original Shadowbane forum, so that signature is quite small for me. There are few photographs of myself, or images of my characters, that I can shrink to a height of 100 pixels and then convert them to Matrix code without distorting whatever the image may have been meant to resemble.

I will remove the face and keep the text, then.

Has anyone heard whether or not the minimum tech requirements listed on the beta application are going to be the same for MxO when it officially releases? I'm kind of curious, because if it's going to be so advanced and fluid, (especially without annoying load times, etc.) is that going to restrict game-play to those with insanely powerful computers?

Well, if the min reqs dont get lower, its going to be a joyride for insanely powerful computers..

The less powerful ones..

I assume there will be graphical settings...

Oh man...Beta, dude, beta! I'm hoping that most of the furious angels get the beta testing spots...that will give us such an edge. It's going to be so key to be familiar with the game and jump right in on the first day...so sweet.

As many of us as there are, I'm sure some of us will get in Beta soon.

I seem to get into almost every beta I have ever applied to, when it comes to MOG and RTS titles. FPS titles, however, often seem to reject me. Probably because of my aversion to firearms....

In any case, I hope this is one of the 85% of the betas that seem to throw me right into the pool. I just finished testing Ryzom, City of Heroes, Dark and Light, and Wish, so all of my time is free -- save for tonight (May 7).

I'm just glad I just spent 3k on a new system, my old one would never have met the beta testing standards.

I would be interested to hear what kind of problems you have been having with an ati card.  Please share.

I had sooo many problems with drivers and glitches and game incompatibilities when I had an ati card.

My primary game of choice up until now has been Everquest.  Inevitably, ATI is incompatible with game graphics patches.  This could also be due to Sony not probably testing their new code.

Some of the glitches have been (1) naked people (that was actually kinda fun); (2) the sky being constantly black; (3) the system auto shutting down.

For whatever reason Sony and a few other companies seem to test their graphics more thoroughly on Nvidia cards.  Or maybe its just that Nvidia has less incompatible thingiemabogs <-- technical term.

MxO is brandishing the ATI logo, so rest assured it will be ATI optimized!

Oronos, I recommend the thermaltake cases, they are sweet and built very nicely. I own this one http://www.thermaltake.com/products/xaser3/v1000dblue.htm

however the case you linked to is rather stylish, and pretty unique. I know someone who actually bought one and he love showing it off and taking it to LANS. I would go for it. :D
