I was pretty bored last night and thought about many ways to keep myself entertained. after thinking about it for a few minutes i decided to do fake interviews with faction members on teamspeak. not only were they fake but during the interviews i would be as rude as possible by cutting them off when they were speaking and just saying a bunch of random shit that didnt make any sense, it was awsome..
If you werent there to enjoy the maddness live, i had Ari record the conversations!

are you guys serious? everyone was getting pist because people were having problems with "something", so i lightened things up, i decide to lay off of being strict and have fun for one night, and i get hounded... i actually thought you guys would be happy to know, that our staff isnt just a bunch of strict fucks, and we do like to have a laugh. after each person i messed with, i let them know i was recording and at the time you guys found it funny, now its a bad thing? give me a break.

My god, guys. I swear to god, if I do something stupid, everybody laughs it off and has a laugh. That fuckin day I went all crazy and shit and posted random bullcrap, I got no flak whatsoever for it, and actually had people laughing at it. Now, when a staff member does something ten times funnier, and much less offensive, because hes a admin, he becomes a martyr for all the bullcrap we do on teamspeak and the forums.
All in all, its just not cool guys.
Let me add some more. I've been noticing that people have lost their sense of humor over the past, oh WEEK!? Dudes, Seven, just like cosmic said below, goes out of his way to do shit for this clan. He hosts our teamspeak server, mods the board, hes working on "The Chronicles", he does all this shit for you guys, and he cant have a fucking sense of humor.
I see seven has unbecome an admin. Thats bullshit. You guys, who come on here and post once a week, dont see Sevens other posts, and think you have the right to criticize him? If you guys came on teamspeak and talked to seven, I would see reason for you guys to criticize, the only person who has any claim to criticize is Core, but the thing is, right after it was done, he was laughing with us about it, and enjoyed him self and took the joke well. I dont see how you could change your opinion so much in a day.
If you guys dislike me and Cosmic for "Taking sevens side", so fucking be it.

I feel the need to stop and say something, and I hope everyone listens to what I have to say, mainly because I had the joke played on myself aswell.
Seven put alot of time and effort into playing this joke and it was a great joke. His main hope was to have people laugh and to help get more people on TS because I honestly dont see 50% of FA on TS at all. The simple fact of the matter is Seven busts his ass to try and help this faction say active and this is what he gets for it? Thats bullshit.
Maybe it was misunderstood by some of our members, and sometimes jokes are just that: hard to understand. No one had the joke played on them more than myself. Feel free to click and listen to my "Interview." Seven and I are friends In Real Life. We hang out and to be honest, when the joke was happening, I want to kick his ass more then anyone. I was mad for like 10 secs after the joke and then I was laughing my ass off. I wanted to hear it again and again. Why do we watch shows like 'Punked' in the first place? Because shit like that is funny.
I dont know what else to say, really. Im very let down by some people tonight. The only people who seem to have a problem are the ones who dont care enough about this faction to come on TS and get to know us. You make this place seem cold and unwelcoming... thats not what FA is meant to be.
And to Core, If you feeling were hurt, on behave of Staff and of my Friend who calls himself Seven, I'm sorry. The point was not to get your feelings hurt, only to laugh. Seems like tonight, alot of peoples feelings are hurt. this whole thing makes me want to yell at the top of my lungs, but I wont do that.

I feel like since im an admin, if I try to be funny or joke around its a bad thing, and that alot of you have these expectations on how staff should act. ive been feeling like this for quite some time now, since its in my nature to joke around im really not sure if i want to be staff anymore, it was cool and all, but i just wana be another member. its not just cause of what has happend here, although it is upsetting, because it was truly meant to get you guys to come on more, and have fun with us... i mean damn tbone got a kick out of it, is it really that bad? I will continue to run our TS server, but i wont be an admin on it anymore. I dont want to give our staff a bad name, it was all simply to promote activity on teamspeak.
ps. get a sense of humor.

You guys have to purposely taking this shit wrong. Anyone who has any knowledge of seven would understand it was just him joking around. Calling him a "mean mean man" has no basis, and either a) you didnt listen to the whole thing or b) you want to take it the wrong way.

There are alot of posts missing now, and Im not sure if thats a good thing or a bad one. To the normal eye it kinda looks like I went off on a rampage for no reason. However, if you would have read what I did, you might feel the same way. Now, we may never know. However, I stand behind my post, with or without the other ones.

As you stand as firmly to your post, so shall I to mine. If Core took it so well, then why was his post deleted? It would have been more effective on your part to actually KEEP his post alive, and THEN to show that he had infact laughed it off and therefore should be making no kind contradictory "you're immature' comment. THAT would ahve made him a hypocrite - and he still may be. But however that makes not anyone/anyside better for his post being deleted. However, for those of us that weren't on TS that night, how would it look? How would it look to Us?
Also, you guys are constantly ranting but are failing to realize that only 2-3 people at the max, on this thread, have said anything negative concerning this event. This thread has 20 replies. Mine will make 21. Seven's posted three, Luv twice and Cosmic twice. Wolf has replied in your support, so has Arch, Orasu, and Nights, which that alone makes it the majority, over 51%, of the people posting in your favor! Why get angry because Myself and Sevker, who has only posted once, so tell me WHY are you getting all defensive? We cannot count Core's post because it has been deleted. So, 2 out of twenty posts, which would bring it to 18, and one for Sevker only shows 3 against, and 17 for... However then again, If Core's post was deleted, and I haven't checked since after I posted right after him, I cannot tell if there are any others that are missing. And it seems as if we need to chill down?
In NO WAY am I trying to take Seven's accomplishments from him, in no way am I trying to diminish him. I have always believed in the saying, "Give honor where honor is due." Then YES give him honor, but not impregnability, not immortality, not invulnerability. The day we stop holding those in esteemed positions for their actions is the day that we ALL will be destroyed. And Luv - I consider you to be a very wise and inteligent individual, but maybe no one cared about your "crazy shit and random bullcrap" was because no one actually truly cared? Or cared enough to actually post? Or atleast post material that would be deemed confrontational? I am not INACTIVE, and I am saying that this was very wrong, and has had the opposite effect of that it was intended to do. Let's not get a 1337 attitude and think we're better then "newbs" because of a post count beside our names - this is not pointing a finger at not one person - it's more of a warning.
I, myself, am inclined to believe that things were better when Tbone was the only one in charge.

So far I have received 0 complaints about our staff. If you have a problem, please feel free to contact me privately about it. If you have a problem with me, feel free to contact me about it. I'm man enough to admit if I'm wrong. What we can't have is a flame war within the faction.
If you have a problem with Seven's joke, please contact me about it. We're all human, and you can't expect us not to make mistakes. Yes, I found Seven's joke funny. I can see how it could be interpreted as mean, and if it did offend you, please let me know. I think the joke would have worked better if Seven would have only played it on members he was familiar with. By approaching random members, there was an unknown variable of not knowing how they would take it. It doesn't matter if Seven is staff or not. If he was a regular member and did this, posted about it, and I received complaints, I would handle it in the same manner. So to you, Seven, resigning as a leader isn't going to give you much breathing room in what you can get away with (assuming you do anything that needs to be gotten away with).
I would lock this thread, but I know that another one would just be started in its place. If you were offended by Seven playing this joke on you, please contact me. If this doesn't involve you, please stay out of it. We're not perfect folks! If you're looking for perfection, you're in the wrong place. We do promise an attempt to have fun and be the best at whatever we decide to do. You can take it or leave it! Until I receive an official complaint about this, I'm not concerned with it.

I was not upset or offended in any way. I've seen worse (or better ?).
As some of you might know, I'm somewhat older than the average FA. That's probably why I found that joke to be so juvenile. A few years ago, I might have rolled on the floor laughing.
The thing that really surprised me was the fact that it came from Seven. I did not expect that from a member of the staff. Maybe I should have, I don't know.
I've seen crap 100 times worse coming from some people here (not to name Iluvatar) and I did not have any problem with it because I expect that from those people.
I'm not sure why my previous post was deleted, I didn't think it was that bad but then again it's all relative to who the reader is :-)
Anyway, as far as I'm concerned this matter is closed and I'm looking forward to enjoying this faction and its members.
Let's not sweat the small stuff ;-)
P.S.: By the way, I don't have any problem with leaving the links to the interviews accessible. Other "victims" might have a problem with that but I don't.

Seven, you know I think your cool. I got your joke and I found nothing wrong with most of it. Lastly you deserve no flack about it.
I apologize for the lack of precision in my original post. What I ment was...FA TS is laughable, sorry guys but common. TS is great in general but when I log in, instead of everyone waiting to listen, everyone is waiting for thier turn to talk. I've written articles on how to benifit from just a little respect and common curtosy, but it's swept under the carpet by people who just can't go 8 seconds with transmitting thier next pointless message.
Now, you might say "Gee golly wizz Sevker is an asshole!" And you might be right. But the fact is, those of you who know me, know exactly what kind of guy I am. The fact that I log in to TS less and less is a direct result of the decline in respect handed out on it.
P.S. Cosmic I am not offended.

Hey people, cmon now! Seven is a good guy, and although he may tease people (especially Canadians. lol) I don't think he should stop being a staff member, or get any flak for what he did. Lighten up!
The faction is supposed to have a secret, mysterious look on the outside, but on the inside we're supposed to have fun and do some cool shit. All I have to say is that I was lmao, especially after hearing Cosmic's interview.
I think that Seven should go back to the staff, and the links to the interviews should be back up, except for the people's whos interviews they did NOT appreciate.
(PS: Are you still gonna do work on the site, even if you're not a staff member?)

I was one of the "interviewed".
I knew TS interviews were part of the new recruitment strategy....so...I played along. I wasn't sure at first if it was a test of patience, if Seven was fishing for something, or what. It took a bit, but, eventually I got it.
For my part, I could tell something was going on. I got a chuckle. It wasn't mean spirited, and my interview definitely was not as...aggressive as some of the others. My guess is that Seven knows some of the other guys a little better. Im not a stranger, but, I hang out with my family more than online.
Let me ask this: Ever had a joke played on you....you laugh it off at first....but then later it irks you? It's natural. If the story of the joke is spread...and somebody becomes re-embarrassed ( is that a word?) the odds of somebody feeling that way increase. I think that needs to be taken into consideration. I don't think it has been, and feel very strongly that it should.
And, before I really start to ramble ( And I tend to. I'm a parent. It's part of the curse.), I know Im one of the older members.
But, since it has been quoted here I will use it as an example. Shows like Punk'd (or however you spell it) are on MTV for a reason. They appeal to a certain audience. Personally....I never watched it or Jackass, and won't
let my kids watch it. Why? Because mostly it's ignorant and sophmoric. Not my thing.
That's the old guy in me. Plus I have two girls, one who is still very impressionable. If they liked that stuff too much or acted like that..... Again. Old guy.
But the old guy had to have been a younger guy once, too. If I tried to tell you I never did stuff like that...and you didn't call "bullshit" I'd wonder how gullible you were.
I think Seven has made it clear, and if he hasn't let me vouch, that his joke wasnt meant to be mean spirited.
I do believe though that the collective "we" should all take a breath or two and cut the folks who were irked about it some slack.
Even if you play a joke on your best friend, you run the risk of them getting upset. Regardless of how/why/what type of joke you played. All you can do is work it out. Granted this one has been worked out in public....but, the joke was done in public, so.......IMO the right to b!tch about people publicly voicing opinions goes out the window. You have to be able to get as good as you give. I think Seven has.
I think his "resignation" ( for lack of better word at the moment ) shows some integrity and class. I don't know it's necessary, but....a darn good gesture. That outta tell everyone something.
There have been strong reactions...and that is fine, even expected in a case like this, but I do think it is time for people with views on both sides of this one to take a few breaths and maybe some Kava Kava.
Look at it this way....you don't get to know people without finding out what they like, and what they dont like. The only thing to do after that is realize what those things are, and if you want to practice the unity/community you preach, then going forward you *need* to respect those things. Both "sides" should forgive....but don't forget. If you forget, you didn't learn anything.
My step-son works at Hot-Topic. A t-shirt there says something to the effect of "I am not infantile, you stupid doody-head!". If we want to be "big about it", this is the point in time where that opportunity lies.
Now. I want to buy the clan a Coke ( Ok, Dr Pepper) and join in a Monday night Karaoke version of "Kum by ya".

I couldn't be bothered to read all the way through each post, mainly becaus I have the attention span of a hyperactive goldfish. The jist I got is that people SEEM to be fairly unhappy with Seven being a joker, WHAT THE FUCK? Seven is a joker, that's just him. When he needs to be serious he is, when he doesn't, he isn't. If you seriously find it that hard for a member of staff, which I recognise you would look at as being mature and sensible, to have a joke now and again then I seriously suggest you leave now. We don't want a dictatorship, that is why Tbone has divided his workload onto other members who offered. Would you really prefer a stressed out, frantic Tbone leading us on his own making tough choices and 'whatnot' or would you prefer a handsfree Commander who can deal with problems like this and more pressing matters. And smile, it's not the end of the world.. yet.

Mirmir, that is exactly why your interview was not posted, because everyone else i had done it with laughed about it and knew i was posting it here, i had announced i would make this thread and put them up. they did not have a problem with it.
To everyone thanks for the support, but Eclipse you seem to be the next Tyshalle, i really like how you specify all those people yet at the end you state that you arent pointing fingers at anyone, you seem to have alot to say here, but on ts you corner up, maybe because you can edit/preview/spellcheck and look up words before you submit.. i duno. but you seem to follow in Ty's footsteps which eventually got him kicked, so goodluck with that...

Eclipse, your logic is so supremely flawed, that I can't believe you posted it. One thing I hate is bad grammar, and spelling, but when it’s just a little bullshit post, I could care less. I know I go all "1337" in off topic threads. When your making an argument, at least spell check and grammar check it. Now, for your logic "More people were for it then against it", people’s posts were deleted, and they do count. I believe it would make the amount of people against it 6? Arch seemed neutral, so did Orasu. They never outright stated they thought it was awesome. Now, it really doesn’t matter about the amount of people for or against it, it matters that people just can't take any joke at all.
Now, we should treat Seven as if he was god, is what your saying. "Not impregnability, not immortality, not invulnerability". Ok, but if he does one thing that isn’t something directly benefiting the faction that is hilarious, and not to mention he pointed out it was a joke and every single one of those people laughed about it afterwards, he becomes tarnished. If god were to do something wrong and funny-er, wait, he already did. He made Hilary Clinton. Anyway, if he were to do that, you all would feel the same way. Not a fair comparison? Well, this topic was never fair to begin with. Nobody said were better than newbs. But if you don't understand or don't know Seven, don't criticize him for actions that apparently you wouldn't understand due to the fact you don't get on teamspeak, which was the whole point of this thread, to get people on TS. A post count? A POST COUNT? The thing is, Eclipse, that I never mention my post count. I post when I feel I can have some input or make a good joke, and never mention it. But it seems you just love to mention your post count. But, of course, I'm not pointing any fingers......
Unfortunately, Seven I don't agree with you about Eclipse being the next Tyshalle. Tyshalle posts were ridden with direct insults, and why they did make their points perhaps better than anyone else is in the clans, it was still hypocrisy to abound. Eclipse posts in a different fashion, and it was in fact that that made Eclipse regard Tyshalle the way he did. And Eclipse does seem a lot different on Teamspeak, but he can still go on on extremely long-winded speeches that, well, nobody really likes at all and it is a huge problem.
*Shudders at Eclipse's speech about religion* Just kidding.....

Iluvatar: The thing about you man is, that I really do honestly respect you. Honest to God I do - for some unknown reason. However reason I go on long rants on TS is because no one is usually talking when I am on, so i talk for everyone. I don't deny that I've been blessed with the gift of gab. I didn't realize it was a huge problem though.....as always, it reamins to be seen ;)
