Title: First time in game advice?

Tonight I'll hopefully get to play :D But I'm nervous because I've never played an MMO before. I don't want to look like an idiot  :'(

Does anyone have useful tips/advice for an MMO noob trying out the first time?

Read the BETA guide and check out some threads on the official forums so you feel like you know something about the game and environment.  

Aside from that....I"m sure you'll do neither of these but don't ask too many questions to large crowds of people (that is what we are for!) and don't be pushy.  Oh, yeah, and have fun!

I know Muse said to look at the beta guide and all, but that wont help you didley squat :P You're better off learning the correct information and asking a question every four or five seconds.  Your best best to learn how to move, and interact with the world is via the tutorial - you'll have to learn everything else from us. :)

Dont worry Luna - just make sure you get the patch so you can play today.  It was kind of unstable and it should be much better today.

1. Fire up the game.

2. The launcher should patch itself. (Unless your launcher is up to date, in which case, go to step 4.)

3. Click the 'Restart' button. (Does not restart comp, just restarts the launcher.)

4. Log in.

5. If the server is up, you'll see something like:

select a world instance:
1. World1 [ADMINS ONLY]

6. Click the 'New' button and the patching process will begin.

7. Find a long movie to watch.

UGHH toook me 50 tries just to create my char, but i finally got my name registered so no one can take it YAY, im mad tthat my "original" name was banned, whats so wrong about "Bobbie McBoobavich"?? come on?

i doubt it, i havn't seen anyone with luna as their name, so i think ur good, its been too long since i heard ya on TS, where ya been, lol i stay up till 4am, lol :(
