I know. It was for emphasis. Overall, I was disappointed with RFZ's method of advertising. They were intentionally misleading, and it seemed nothing more than a publicity stunt. The interview didn't even have much substance to it. It would have been much better if they would have advertised it as an interview. They could just say "we are interviewing a special guest".
-
I guess I didn't miss much then?
-
Not at all. I'm drilling adonai now as to the overhype. He's just speaking in riddles. At one point he tells me there is more to it than meet the eyes, but then he tells me that he was just an idiot that overhyped it. Also unexplained is why the DJs were misinformed as to what would be happening. I've heard speculation that it was some sort of test to see if the DJs can be trusted. If there isn't some deeper meaning, I'd say this was a poor move. Walrus deserved more respect than to trick people into listening to him.
-
Zink, you can't have any words to yourself because it looks like you're the forum spammer...
Plus Deano lied to us! I can understand why... but I think if he had just said, "It's an interview with Walrus." We would've said, "Oh yeah? Hm that's cool, guess I'll tune in."
-
I don't think Deano knew... I thought no DJ's knew what was going on.
Glad my PC crashed and forced me to bed last night then... what a waste.

This was actually the first time that I ever saw any radio station be such retards about an interview. Any other radio station that I listened to prerelease of a game had at least the simple announcement that they would have an interview with a member of the team, and most said who the person was.
-
Yeah their methods are the kind of deception that make you want to listen less, not more.
I guess that they knew about this interview at the last minute because they didn't seemed prepared at all. The questions were pretty lame.
Oh well, they're still improving. This community needs another radio station of the same importance. There's nothing like a little competition to quickly improve things.
P.S.: Who were these Sacred Order guys all logged to the IRC channel ? What do we know about them ?
-
well, perhaps red pill radio ought to be taken back off the shelf ;)
-
The leader of Sacred Order contacted me just a day or two before this event. Apparently they are a multi-game clan, and The Matrix Online is their most recent project. They have over 400 members spread out throughout these games, and a lot of them want to play MxO. He wanted an alliance or a trade of links or something.I haven't seen them in-game, but apparently they all decided to jump in the RFZ room. Your guess is as good as mine...
-
We might want to learn more about these guys. One of the things we need to know is if they are Zionists.
If they are Zionists and we hear good things about them, we might want to consider an alliance.
Let's say that only a tenth of their members will be a hardcore MxO player, that's still 40 players. That's about our size right now.
As we find out more, let's put what we learn in the "Status of factions" thread of the "Illuminati" section in the bluepill forums.

Well the thought had occured to a few of us, it probably wouldn't be too hard to compete but its the time and dedication it takes. Not to mention my server friend probably wouldn't be happy with me broadcasting to 200 people at 128kbps :P
-
Well, we wouldn't be broadcasting to 200 people at 128kbps constant. It would possibly be only 12-14 users max on an average day with no events or anything. Maybe a peak would hit 200 people at one time if we had something BIG.
