The following is a list of things that I have thought of (over some time) that should be setup in the construct:
1) NO 'green screen' griefing.
2) NO crashing.
3) 1 on 1 duels only when there is a person by himself (this applies to both sides).
4) You will not immidately attack a person who was just resurrected.
5) Don't talk shit about the person you're fighting...that's what guns/martial arts/hacks are for.
6) Faction battles/wars shall consist of duels...meaning everyone has their own target; no double teaming a specific person (healing of a team member is allowed).
7) Should the other faction break rule #6, then it is overruled and you are allowed to attack whomever you wish, whether they're fighting someone or not.
8) If you kill the target you were after during a faction war and rule #6 is still in effect, you will wait till a lone enemy arrives or until another of the faction you're fighting has defeated their target.
9) If someone in your faction breaks rule #6 and you win, he/she will be punished (however it may seem fit)
10) If someone in your faction breaks rule #6 and you lose, he/she will be suspended from the next faction battle/war (gotta keep it honorable).
11) If you're unsure if your faction is hostile towards another faction, you will not attack that person. You will wait till he/she of that faction attempts to attack you, or wait for a response from the faction leader (in our case, Tbone).
Those are the base rules I believe that should be in place when it comes to construct fights...PvP is supposed to be fun for both sides, not a gang rape session. Obviously RIP will never follow these rules because they can't survive by themselves, but this can count towards any fights with The Collective, Verernor Nos, or whatever other guild might come up in the future.

eh i dont know dude, thats REALLY hard to enforce all those rules, let alone kinda lame, so we fight 1v1 duels....i could do that out of the construct, thats not what most of us like to do in the construct. there shouldn't be that many, there should be like 2. kill everyone, no spawn killing.

I would tend to disagree with the majority of the rules. I don't think we need to be 'uber formal' I think you are blowing this WAY out of reality. #1 #5 and #11 is basically all I fully agree with.

*shrug* I got the majority of the rules from the MechWarrior books / games, and figured maybe it could work here as well.

I like the rules set forth by the GPC by WBIE they can be found at HERE (https://members.warnerbros.com/registration_beta/guidelines.html)

I agree with those three rules. It's a good idea Sabre, but just not very practical. Obviously we will have friendly battles where rules will be set up, and if some of your rules are agreed upon for that fight, I would not have a problem with it, but I think part of faction wars is fighting as a team. In the Matrix, you didn't see Neo and Trinity standing off to the side so that Morpheus could fight some guy with honor. Hackers and Spies are supposed to be support roles. It's not really fair to force them to one-on-one against Soldiers. It's about survival and victory. As for "No Crashing", I'm hoping that ability is done away with completely. Resurrecting is a way of keeping your teammates alive during the fight. If you want to win, you have to keep those guys down and dead and take care of the res-er. Not attacking someone who was just resurrected is another sure-fire way of losing.
I do agree with no spawn killing, unless the person has ALT F4ed to avoid the death penalty and get back in the game (I consider that illegally res-ing yourself). Hopefully that will be fixed soon as well, though. No "shit talking" is probably the most important rule you mentioned. If you truly want to fight with honor and leave an impression, don't talk shit. Just get the job done. We can smack talk and celebrate later, once their gone! I think it's also important not to attacking anything that is red to you. No sense in making too many enemies.
Overall good suggestions Sabre! There is probably a time and a place for each of your rules. I think it is important that we all have an understanding of how to act during a battle, so this does need more discussion.

Nice.
If we can refine them, perhaps we can get other big clans to join in on them. Perhaps we can ask all the big clans to put their input. There are many games where the top clans define the rules under voting, which sorta means they are MxO High Council if you will. Image this could be a goal that all clans could aspire to.
Mos def worth looking closer at.

there isn't much left to say that already hasn't been said but regardless i'm going to talk anyways ^_^. Those rules would make the pvp construct look like the old civil war battles where they just line up and basically take the hits. (generally speaking) it isn't a very good way to win a war with those terms. it would basically make it multiple 1v1 duels. if someone is on their own and they get attacked by 5 members, call in reinforcements. If there are people resing, it would be courteous to let them come back be but be assured you will regret it later. Basically the main rules we have always been trying to apply to pvp is what i agree with especially no trash talking. Leave the trash talking at home with Halo and Counter-strike. This is MxO, words aren't needed to portray our vision just our guns and attacks.
