Hello everyone. Wow its been so long since I've been in game...I've had an interesting string of problems pop up. First...OS corruption, re-format, re-install, re-etc etc etc.
Next, the latest patch came out, and I'm receiving the notorious client.dll error, that is associated with radeon video cards. The problem is...I've followed all the instructions I could find, under tech support topics, and I still cannot enter the game. You see, I don't have just a regular ol' radeon card...it is a mobility card.
I created my own petition, and I can't reply to the technician, (Michael), because the petition appears to be bugged! I get internal server errors, everytime I try to update my petition contents.
Anyone have any ideas? I've updated my agp drivers and my ati radeon mobility 9700 pro drivers. I am on Service Pack 1, so SP2 is not an issue. I pray someone can help me!

Well another fix for the clien.dll error is updating your Direct X to 9.c
mine was on 9.b when I had the error right after the new patch, a simple update fixed it

If you have a Pentium4, did you install your Intel chipset drivers?

Alright, I'm gonna try updating Direct X, and double check on the chipset driver. I have it saved somewhere....thank you two very much for your advice, I feel like I've been banging my head against a wall for days!!

And if you experience more problems, I suggest switching your XP partition from whatever you have it set to, to a different type (if you have NTFS as your partition, use FAT32).

I feel your pain. I have a self-built system running Windows XP with SP2 (at the time of this writing I am reloading it).
It would work for sometime and then get some b.s. error about my NIC card having limited or no connectivity. I searched and tried all the b.s. solutions to still see the problem.
It pissed me off enough to reload my machine to Win2k to see if it still happens.
Lucky for me this is not my only computer, just the one with the fastest processor, most memory and best video card. It was my primary gaming machine.
I do have the Matrix client loaded on this machine but it is a little slow. I am hoping to have everything resolved and working prior to Staurday's event.
If anyone has experienced this limited or no connecitity problem and has an idea how to fix it I would love to hear it.

i guess the problem is fixed, if it was still broken, was going to say make another petition saying the reply was bug and ask for a phone # where you could reach him so he could give ya support help through the phone.
