Ok so I missed meeting Seraph and Morpheus and The Meroviginan (sp?) but I did go on to subroutine during this time to confirm the quickest was to get Tbone and the other captians up to Reputation level 16. It can be done in about 4 hours if done right.
1) Get through the tutorial as quick as possible, we all know what it is, no point dilly dallying, get in game and get the jacks gloves or one other thing just get to level 3.
2) Get a group of 6 toghether for a mission team with Tbone or the other captains must be the leader of the group no exceptions :) Four people from the group need to run the missions The remaining 2 members of the team continue to get the important stuff from the mobs like coins and hankerchiefs and such stuff like that. It will become important that we also some how rotate some everyone gets the info for leveling up.
3) We need to remember that some people's level will be left behind but for the greater good of the faction we need our name first. Then we can go back and help out the others.
4) All missions should start in Midian Park they continuously spawn in the same general areas and the never go into westview because you're such a low level. Once you've finished all the critical missions, start on assasination missions, leave the critical missions alone at this time. The Red Pill Rescue mission will spawn in west veiw if you continue with the assasination missions they will stay n the basic location that you were.
5) If you have questions about what we need to do feel free to ask, Tivod and I did a lot of running around trying to get this ready for launch. Hopefully this gives a little more insight into how to quickly get done what needs to be done before having more fun.

Nice Job L, and Tivod.... I was gonna say something funny and mean, but can't bring myself to do it. FA keeps pulling through with great stuff and hard work.
May I make a suggestion? As soon as it is possible to load download mission map, keep that and resist combat on and do courier missions. If you stay away from the mobs, you rarely, if ever, have to enter combat. It is better with the hacker ability, a set of lockpicks and Open lock ability grants (which I will be racing to make). This way you can handle anything that comes your way without hitting a road block. The only thing holding you back is making sure everyone is in the mission area before you acomplish the mission. So everyone on the group needs to be aware of whats going on and be fast getting there and getting out AS SOON AS THE GOAL IS FINISHED! Do not waiti around.

Would like to suggest that if we could form a second type of team that would be fromed of 4 to 6 people who would focus on just leveling by first each member running the first three missions of the sister margret, then turning around and run a few quick critical mission to get the members up to level 12 to 14. The team would then seperate into two groups of 3 each targeting to collect from the mars industry and the casino for the combat tactic booster items (shoes for the ranged in the casino, and gloves for the industry). This would give us a little time to get a few drops befor the area is over run with every other person who would be looking for these. Of course this could only happen if at least Tbone and another captain had crews working with them to get their rep up to 16.
-
Should we start figuring out some teams to get started? So not all the runners are all on one mission team. Also try to have it so not all of our stronger members are all on one mission team.
-
I just figured it would mostly work by ship. Gets your crew better trained to work with one another. Of course I'm guessing most of this will play by ear as the game goes live and people come in. The most important thing at first is of course to get Tbone and another captain up to the right reputation and as Ratio pointed out to have fun. I'm sure we'll get a bit unblanced here and there but in the end every thing will balance out as we all work together.

Me and Arch will level like no other has seen before...mwuahahahaha!! ^_^
-
I am not worried about my levels to start with, so count me in anywhere I will be needed. I agree that the first days will be critical and everyone should contribute all we can, and perhaps a little bit extra, to get us up and going smoothly.
-
same here. i can grind in the wee hours of the morning to catch up, so i can offer my services where ever is needed. my vacation starts on the 20th, so i will have a lot of spare time leading up to the release.
-
Teh p0w3r of teh 1 will make us level like WILDEBEASTS!!! FEAR THE WILDEBEASTS THEY WILL KICK YOU IN THE FACE IF FLYING!
anyways now that i'm done with my daily random rant.... Indeed ship crews in teams would be a good idea ... only problem with that is a few ships don't have very active members in which case we can always group with other ship crews that don't have as many active members... *cough* EVAN!!!!! *Cough* (had to throw that in there ^^)
-
Hey, i thought i was the chosen one. I thought i was friends with you guys too arch and evan. I guess not. I'll just have to lvl up on my own then i guess lol. Great plan Lel. Thats what crews are designed for so once you jack in look for your crew and all will be better.
Random Quote of the Day:
"Let your anger be like a monkey in a pinata. Hiding with the candy, hoping the children don't break through."
-
yes arch. in correction to my earlier post. if you have slackers in your crew then you can go with other ships but i dont think thatll be much of a problem since people have been planning for release for a while and will hopefull be there *smile*.
-
I'm a bit annoyed that they delayed release, even though it means the game is better.
January 18th would have been perfect for me.
But no, now everything in my life has to conspire against me so theoritically the only thing I'm going to be able to do on Saturday is jack in and claim my username...
-
I hope I'm able to jackin on saturday, I really do. If i'm there, i'm not a lvl grinder by any means, so I'm down for helping whoever needs it get lvled. (Omegus :)
-
I can't wait to get moving on this....Was so much fun to start over again, I'll be looking forward to trying for another time ...this is the longest 3 days of my life.....
*bump* :p
-
agreed.

Just want to admitt that I'm planning on bum rushing again. I'm hopping to get my write code and decompile skills up quickly so we can get new suits out as fast as possible. Of course I'll be helping were I can with the intial teams to get Tbone and another captain up to 16. I'm going to enjoy getting back into the game after all his sitting around.
-
BTW Tivod, I'd like to talk about coding with you. Considering the money issue, perhaps we should pick our specialty of choice to begin with and do so with the other members.
Ability and upgrade crafting has always been my forte. Moreso abilities, but I plan to make an effort to get open lock and antibiotic pills out asap. I also know you have a love for all aspects of coding, though have been the main source of clothing.
-
I hear you on that. We did have a bit more money this time around (did a dry run on QA and then subroutine). If I can keep running missions I think I should be able to keep up with at least appearl and ability but we should get a fwe of the ocdders together to talk about that idea. I'm sure ProffesorL would also like to be included also with any other coder (I'm sure more are able and willing out there I'm just not remebering atm). If you are planning on going down the coder path please get in touch with either fuse or I and we'll try and see if we can keep a list to make sure everyone is informed of whats going on with this.
-
This sounds like a very good idea, I have always been inclined to go for Consumables and apparel. I think Apparel will be the most in demand other than abilities, and each person specializing in two parts of the coder tree shouldn't be to much of a stretch. Branching out beyond two however, could be quite difficult until we get a more steady income going. I think we should all try for apparel, but perhaps initially we can each choose a single focus to get everyone outfitted ASAP. In that case I think the list can go something like; Tivod-Apparel, Fuse-Abilities, Me-Consumables. We can add anyone else to the list as they express their interest. How does that sound?
-
I sent Tivod a similar concept, but involving 2 specialties for each person. One Main specialty, and one sub-specialty. This is so that there is always one person on who can cover some aspect of coding in the early levels. Also, every specialty would have one MAINCoder and one SUBCoder associated with it. For instance...
--------------------MAIN------------SUB
ABILITIES ----- Fuse -----------Tivod
CLOTHING --- Tivod ----------- ProfL
UPGRADES -- ProfL ----------- Fuse
TOOL -------- someone1 ---- someone2
WEAPONS- someone2 ---- someone1
We'd focus mainly on our main specialty, but still put some effort into our sub. I think this is worth a try for the first 30 lvls or so until we can support not only our coding, but also our fighting disciplines. As soon as I talk to our faction coder monkey (Tivod) we can form a set plan for the coding junkies.

Hopefully I can get the challenge done before Saturday and depending on when the launch time actually is, I might be a couple hours late getting in due to work. I should be home around 5PM FA time though. If need be I'll be one of the runners grabbing the collector items/dungeon drops.
-
i will be focusing on coder as well. im mostly familiar with apparel (female) and abilities. lemme know what i can do. otherwise, i'm planning on being the coder for my ship, but not exclusive to that. :)
-
I'll be there and am ready to help out however I can.
-
thought I'd give this a bump incase anyone missed it. BTW if you are planning on coding if you got the time could you drop me a quick message either in TS or leave a pm for me on the boards or hell even state it here. Just trying to get a list of who is willing and able. We should have 9 of them - Fuse, ProffessorL, Grim, and myself... five more to go.
-
I have not had the oppertunity in meeting my other ship mates to work with them just yet. But I will be glad to meet them finally. If for whatever reason this does not happen the day of launch, and there is not many of my crew memebers present, I am flexible to assist whomever in any way I can.
-
The time we've all waited for is now only a few hpurs away. So I thought.....*shouldn't be doing that at 6am but eh* I'd give this post a quick bump. :)
