Dam Cant access It Till I get home
-
it still makes me laugh that they spend so much time on this... why not simply disable their use or something, so nobody can exploit it... <sighs> it is certainly not that guys fault..
-
What irritates me the most is... I submited that damn weapon 15 days ago!
And what did they do? Nothing!
here's the 1st of my 14 reports so far about the westtek 49 da
edit: and now, 15 days later, when everyone and their mother is using the damn weapon, they are finally taking action...

Hello Ricardo, We set the petition to solved to indicate that the matter is closed on your end. We are currently investigating the situation and will handle the matter accordingly. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused. Due to privacy policy, we are unable to disclose actions taken against other players. If the weapon is indeed bugged and the player is exploiting the item to unfairly subdue other players, then it is considered a conduct violation and will be handled accordingly. Thank you for your support and help with The Matrix Online. -MxO.Beetle

Hello again, Solved? Solved in what matter? The WestTek49 is bugged and you fixed it? It was not bugged and there was nothing to fix? what? That scripted reply does not answer my questions...
Thank you for your time,
Sincerely,

Greetings, I have just been killed 5 times in a row by a player named BigJohn, a lvl 50 Aikido Grand Master, with an Enhanced WestTek 49DA.
Every time the player hits me with the weapon, I get a DOT of 500+ damage (please see attached SSs) every hit makes the DOT go off. I asked BigJohn if he was using any special ability that would do that kind of damage, but got no response.
Seems weird to me that an Aikido Grand Master is using a lvl 35 Pistol as his kill weapon, the fact is, he has killed many many people with that weapon according to other players from other factions.
Please investigate if the weapon is working as it should and if the weapon is indeed bugged, would using it, KNOWING it is bugged, be considered an exploit?
Thank you for your time,
Sincerely,
Desync

Walrus has stated that the gun is indeed an exploit, yes. However, it is only an exploit when using it for PVP. He openly stated that the gun is fully allowed when doing PvE and said quote, "You might want to do some major NPC hunting before we get this bug fixed. ;)"

Walrus telling us to exploit huh?

"I've brought you here to inform you that the use of items as they were intended has been deemed an exploit. We also would like to tell you that this game is not a finished product and we should have beta tested it for another six months. In our defense I would like to add, Can you blame us? What would you do if you had a multi-trillion dollar giant such as Warner saying, "We need the game launched ready or not." We propose that you either cancel your account and come back in a year, that is, if we still have any players who are not upset for having to pay to beta test, or, only jack in to hang out in clubs. Thank you."

But the original question is still unanswered! I couldn't care if they considered your CCR a conduct violation, it's the damn WEAPON that's bugged and needs to be corrected. Instead of peddling with "conduct violations," why don't they just fix the problem at hand!?
n00b nevs...
Edit: I'm sure everyone int he game that own's one wouldn't mind them being removed from all inventories and some nice sum of money credited to each instance of the gun (if I had 3, for example, I'd get 3x the money. So it's fair.).

different departments....
ccr's prolly don't do anything to really "fix" anything, they just make sure people are playing the game correctly.
at least that's how its been in any MMORPG i've been in.

See, as far as the whole "reporting bugs" things goes in MMO's. Im a total freaking noob.
For all the tedious grind there was to FFXI, I have never had to report a single bug, ANYWHERE. Of course the community was dull and there were no real events, just a series of mindless tasks the developers threw at us every now and then for really really crappy prizes.
In fact, I had only one passing dealing with a GM, and it was due to lag making me think I was stuck when I wasnt. So I went to the help desk thing cause I thought it would unstick me... and it time passes... it doesnt. Later Im back to the grind and this crazy lookin dude in freaky armor appears all of a sudden saying "[GM]Starlight: Are you still having your problem with being stuck Vinzeru?", and by that point the lag went away and I was fine, but I freaked out and was like "Vinzeru: Uh... yeah its ok now... no problems here.....false alarm.....thanks? omgplzdontbanme".
Yeah... big bad Squeenix does all their own extensive playtesting. I look at bug reports during patch notes and theres maybe 3 that I never heard of or never would have thought to be bugs.
Back on topic... um... yeah I put in an extenisve /ccr detailing how the gun was working and why it was doing that, with several status screenshots open for refrence... so if they don't know the problem by now, then it's obviously not on the priority list. On with more Emotes and an Atlas! Wooooo!
