I can download the matrix movie that Lid posted on the front forums, but I cannot see video.  I need a Divx codec, but I do not want to download a self-contained spyware program to watch it and it looks like that's what I'll get from the site.

Anyone know where I might get a free codec without spyware? (Searching myself and will edit to post it here for other dorks like myself.)

*edit* http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/win/16330 is available from versiontracker, which Catalyst recommended and looks like it'll handle divx and others.  From reading the .txt file on the standard divx codec from the original web site it looks like there will not be addware, etc., on the Divx codec.  I downloaded 3.1.1 alpha. If you search Version Tracker (http://www.versiontracker.com) under the PC section for VLC, that might be able to do the trick.  I think it has its own codec library (not sure).  I've only had good experiences with this program, and I highly doubt any spyware will go along for the ride.

catalyst you look just like a character on southpark named terrance (not the terrance and phillip one)
download the episode "When an elephant makes love to a pig" and you'll see what i mean  8)

Just get ad-aware...

I dont have a link handy, but just search for ad-aware..they have a free version of it somewhere on their site..

Pretty good, killed all of the spyware that came with my divx...

It could be Tom Cruise.  Looks a hell of a lot like him.  Maybe the one who created the fantasy pic used his face as inspiration, or photoshopped it in.

Once again off topic but I wanted to change my name to Soren. Originally because it is the name of a bear in Northern Lights but I just watched Reloaded and the Captain of the Vigilant was called Soren.  That pisses me off..  Would I sound like a dick if I changed my name to that?

Soren was a big part of Enter the Matrix as well.  His crew worked hand in hand with the Logos during the game.
