Looks like Kid gets some attention, which I think is awesome. That's my second favorite Animatrix short.
If anyone know how to get into these files and actually VIEW anything, please please please let us know here. Primaraly .mgb and .mob files.

If I were designing the game, I'd put some kind of lock around each and every cinematic that would make them unviewable until a certain patch was applied to the game client. Obviously there's some kind of media player in the game that plays these, but without the patch, the cinematics just sit on the hard drive. As much as I'd love to figure out how to view these before we're supposed to, I doubt we'll be able to without somehow violating the EULA. Not something I'm very eager to do.
But thank god Kid will get some screen time in the game.

actually, I do not beleive the cinematics are stored on our systems.... I think only the modles and basic graphics are.
I would also really appretiate it if someone could tell me what 3d world editor uses .cooked_cod, .cooked_ssr, and .metr files. I noticed some things under the world folder I'd like to look at. Looks like modles of Archives not in game, test maps, and also the tutorial areas.

Back in beta, I actually did some research into the file formats used for "worlds" and the cinematics. Needless to say that after a few days of looking, I couldn't find a single thing. However, I will resurrect the search if you all want me to

if you think you can find somthing sure.

I imagine it's something proprietary. also, if you notice, the file sizes in the cinematic folders of the ones currently released, compared to those unreleased, are all small sizes last i checked, which suggests to me the possibility that there are no actual videos, just instructions to the game on things to display and such. *shrug* just an idea.

Yeah, i've been into these files deep. A friend is coming over to do some file linking (EULA totally void) to see whats going on with it when the existing cinematics are played. I also think that parts of the cinematic have yet to be loaded.
