Well, i'm sitting here munching on hot pockets while i watch the weather channel. Funny to hear the weather "specialists" say that one of the 6 strongest hurricanes ever recorded is going to pass right over where I live. Here's some links of some images of where I live and where the hurricane's coming. Well actually imagedump is being retarded so u can just go to www.noaa.gov to check out the hurricane. but anyways. Power might be out for 1-3 weeks. If my house stays i'll proly be back on when power comes back. Wish me luck. I will continue to stay on my comp and play PokerStars.net poker b4 my power goes out completely.

Yea, that is pretty ironic. There are over 100,000 people all of the west coast and pandandle of Florida. Luckily, Miami is on the east coast. lol I'm sure he'll be back on in a week.

From experience, it could actually be 2-3 weeks before power is restored up there. Longer for phones.
It's good to have your thoughts with him & all the others that are in the area but when all the little hings we take for granted end up being real big things & situations get ugly real quick. We had Hummers parked on corners & men with full-auto assault rifles directing traffic for a week when Francis went through Port St. Lucie, FL last year.
Like I said, thoughts are great, but if any of you are the praying type it's a good time to throw 'em up.

well i survived it. after ivan hit us, the insurance company paid for us to live in an apartment. luckily the apartment we choose was on the same power grid as the naval hospital. so i have power now, and everything is back to normal. good luck to the fellow Angels who had to go through dennis.

About three months before I left the Gulf Coast we got hit with Hurricane Georges, it took three weeks before I got power back (damn military housing) and it was about three days for the rest of the town. Midsummer like this too, I feel for Nemi. I'll go easy on abusing my server admin power when he gets back.

lol, anyways im at a friends house rigt now, starting to get a lil tipsy, the hurricane wasn't as near as bad as ivan, but we lucked out cuz the worst part of the hurricane (the right side) didnt hit us cuz the Eye of the 'cane went straight north, so basically we got the West side )left side) of the hurricane which isnt as NEAR as bad as the right side, but even the city that got hit by the right side wasnt as near as bad as Hurricane Ivan. But i still have power out at my house which sucks a left nut.....no a right nut.....no actually a whole nut sack but anyways im spendin night at friends getting drunk, so maybe i'
ll hop on TS later and hopefully it wont be like another vinz. oh yeah i almost blow my self up with a generator that was cool, and my friend pushed me into a SUPER HIGHLY chlorinated swiming pool , my eyes were burning for an hour AND i had my cellphone in my pocket

...anyone else think they need to start naming these hurricanes differently? In the immortal words of Lewis Black, "How about...instead of wasting time naming the hurricanes, WE TRY TO LEARN MORE ABOUT THE WEATHER!?!" Yea anywho... Dennis is not the name of a killer (Unless you count Kayda)...neither is Ivan or Bob (there was a bob right?) Because if you named them something evil like... Jack (The Ripper) or.... Charles Manson... i might give a crap, but whenver i hear, "Well Ivan killed 50940284095 people today..." i actually... start to giggle a little. But now im rambling...

well ivan the terrible is what we call that hurricane here. ivan the terrible launched wars killing tens of thousands, and even killed his own sun (tho accidential). the most i can say for dennis is we call that one dennis the menace.
anyways... lewis black is funny as hell.

I live in Gulf Breeze, FL, Xorsyst....which is a peninsula that looks like a penis (as said by Tbone) sitting in pensacola bay (only 3 miles from pensacola). And yes Bellthazor i had quite alot of alcohol to keep me occupied. But i got power yesterday so im happy now.

Bah... this bastard hurricane ruined the later portion of my days during the week. around 5-6 ish that bastard would fuck with the weather and i would have to stay in cause all the pool activities/ Water parks were closed =/
