Hi Styan, The cubeshot design was intended for game modelers to get 3d images of the game world. You will need a special program to place them all together in an accurate representation. Thank you for your inquiry. ~MxO November~

Thank you for your reply, I can view the images, but am unsure of how to place them. Do they need to be stiched together in the form of a cube (thats that I would assume from the name cubeshot) I just wasn't sure of the mapping which image would go where. Thanks Again

Hi Styan,
Thanks for the petition regarding cubeshots. When you take a cubeshot the files will be saved as .tga files. To view them, you will need to find a program that is capable of viewing .tga files. You should be able to search online and find many programs with this capability.
Thanks again for the report and have a great day!

I was just wondering how a cubeshot can be used after being taken. Any help would be appreciated.
So Sared. It appears we need a special program to get them lined up properly... I say we get our "l33t hax0r te@m" to hack their computers and get this program. hehe. or we could just mess around with the images and see what we get.

Already on it, and I think I have the correct program too.

nice. oh another thing... i think i still have that cap that you looted but i got and supposedly traded back to you...
-
I think you gave it back, not sure though. *shrug*

Ah well i'll pm ya when ingame... lemme know if you find anything about that cubeshot out.

Just get yer butt into TS. :)

I always used to take that shot when trying to take a screenie while hyperjumping.
-
Okay, I tried fisheyeing it and stitching some parts, but its really not that helpful. Half of the shots are from the skybox anyways. My guess, its something that a CSR will use when analyzing some sort of graphical glitch or bug. Ask MxO.Chafe if he can give you any examples of a cubeshot being used, or some of the applications of it.

....Ok I'm lost... what the hell is a cubeshot and where did this come from?

Its this crazy thing you get when you hit CTRL+F12 (I think)

It's a set of images taken in all directions. You can get some very cool effects using this that I've used to get shots straight up.

I remember back at the end of beta, the 15 minutes before they meatwadded us, I kept trying to take screenies and it kept doing cubeshots randomly, couldnt figure out why until I looked down and noticed my hand was kinda touching the ctrl key. :(
