HA, Microsoft is retarded anyways. They're only doing it because PS3 is and they realize that they will be left in the dust if they don't. Yea, that stuff is the wave to the future. WOOT WOOT!!!

Can't remember anything about it, but I believe SONY was actually working on something better than blu-ray? Damn, have to look that up now.

won't matter soon. 2GB usb keys now £50 (work it out). 20GB (or was it 200GB??) hard drives now developed smaller than a cassette. CD is redundant now, DVD is the major media... but hard drives smaller than DVDs? I'm wondering how small people are willing to go with media. With MP3 taking over with iPOD (I swear that there is some sorta illuminati chip in those things) I see that most music systems will be changing to data format... probably usb (for now).

Heh, I'd like to see them fit the track listing on a microchip box.

Sony was working on Blu-Ray. Neither Blu-ray or HD DVD is really better then the other one, it just sound like the devs of HD DVD will be better able to produce them then Sony will with the Blu-Ray, hence why Microsoft/Intel are going with them.

Microsoft/Intel went with HD-DVD becasuce:
1) Cheaper to make
2) The Two top DVD Maufatering Plant Are going to back HD-DVD
3) Sony Blu-Ray isnt living up to Sony's Hype
4) Microsoft hates Sony.

They claim to have made it a last minute decision, they also make it seem like they were willing to go with Blu-Ray if things went good, but from the start, they've always been about monopolizing the market with hd-dvd.... let me remind you that on both hd-dvd and blu-ray, your players have to be connected to the net and they have to copy the content onto the player drives, and then they contact AACS for verification, and if you hack your player, it will also notify them and lock your shit up... and in some cases, they could send the feds str8 to your home for violating whatever their rules are with players....
