Well unfortunately, I didn't read your guys' advice about transferring inventory till it was too late. (for those that don't know, I'm on vacation for school, meanwhile I have some company called swagvault leveling me to 50)
Things I lost:
Beta Unform (except for the shoes, Why the !#$ would they do that!!! they're taunting me!)
Fighter's gloves
Steady Shoes/Sneakers/Boots whatever they're called
Their customer service sux... won't give me a straight answer.
can anyone think of anything i could do? SOE definitely ain't gonna back me up....
probably just gotta accept my losses =(
-
transfering inventory? I haven't played in a bit, whats up?
-
That sucks, dude.
Did they give you any kind of "Terms of Service" agreement? Or do they list one anywhere on their website? If they did, and it explains how they wouldn't delete any of your items, I'd say you have a case. A small one, but it could be better than nothing.
However, you're right about SOE not backing you up. They'll say something about how they aren't responsible for how you treat your account info. If someone had hijacked your account, that might be a different story. But I doubt they'll replace your items when you willingly handed your account info over to Swagvault.
Do your best to talk to someone in charge at Swagvault to see if anything can be done in terms of compensation for your loss. Other than that, I'd say you're out of luck. :\

We will not take any of your equipment or expend any of your gold. Your posessions prior to the start of leveling will be fully inventoried and returned back to you intact. Your character will also keep all items from drops during the leveling service. However, since drops and such are by chance, we cannot make any guarantees about what extra items your character will gain through drops.

Hello Ro Tran,
Thanks for your mail and reminding.Sorry for the trouble caused to you.
We just checked that our leveler sold your missing items. We apologize sincerely
for it.We will buy you better ones as a compensation.
Thanks for your understanding and support.
We always do the leveling service well and this kind of thing hardly happened before.
We will punish the leveler seriously and fire him.
Thanks for your continuous support in advance.
Our service is all ready for you 24/7.
Feel free to contact us whenever you want.
Best regards,
What kind of crap is that?
-
Oh my god that service is so very much a ripoff lol
Sorry for your loss though, all the same.
I routed their details and it's all temporary IP servers and rent-a-rack. I'd steer well clear.
-
DOH!

Since the person worked for that company caused this problem, i would check to see what it says about your money back. Since it stated your charachter would be returned w/ the same items you handed it off to them with (plus anything recieved during the lvling process) . I would think thats a breach of contract(not sure if i spelled that correctly) and you should get your money back. You need to look at the contract you signed/agreed to. Sorry for the lost items.

I doubt there'd be any comeback, it's not a publicly registered company. The blurb on their site is sadly no more than lip service...
-
Fighter gloves and steady sneakers are chump items anyway. Shouldn't be hard to get those back.
Beta uniform kinda sucks, since there's no refunding that. I think I'd rather shoot myself in the face than use one of those website services. Could you not find anyone here in the faction that you trust to do it? Guess it wouldn't be 24/7, but it would have been cheaper and more secure.
-
One thing you could try would be to create a new character, and put the Beta clothes for that character in the Marketplace. (Non-tradeable/Non-sellable does not apply to the marketplace.)
Then quickly log out, log back in as XxUnforgivenxX, and see if you could buy the clothes back. Then delete your newly created character.
Couldn't hurt to try.
EDIT: In fact, selling Beta clothes might be a nice way to make some good $info from non-Beta players.
-
I had a post, sometime last week offering anyone in the faction the opportuniy to grind me in exchange for $$ but only one person had shown some interest, and even still he later declined. Oh well, Live and learn....
-
I would have done it, if only I was lvl 50 myself and I didnt hate grinding so bad. So...yeah I wouldnt have after all.
-
Is your charachter 50 now? If not, how close? When they said that they'll buy you better items, did they elude to what kind? Or quality thereof?
-
The didn't give any definite information at all. just "better" items. I have agreed with swagvault to continue this dispute after the powerleveling is complete. at this point I'm expecting them to get me that mask seraph gave out!!!
-
Sakura Ninja Bandanas for all!
-
ask them how they are going to replace a one of a kind item you were given at the launch of the game, an outfit for people who were in beta.... of course there are better items, like buffed items.. but how are they going to replace a one of a kind useless beta outfit? there's nothing better than something you'll never get back again
-
yeah ask for a sukura bandanna and then get one for me too!
-
Just create a new character on Vector, give the beta clothes to someone to give to your main, then delete the Alternate. It doesn't matter how many times you delete or create a character, they will always have the beta clothes in the inventory.
-
Yea only problem is Beta clothes still arent tradeable. I remember back in April they said they would implement that.
-
and if Beta uniforms were sold for 1 million a piece.... you could make crap loads of money in little time. I'm still talking swagvault into gettin the seraph masks......

Account Safety
SwagVault relies on strictly enforced internal policies to safeguard customer game accounts. Every single character is leveled by a master player that conducts himself in an ethical manner in the game. Your character will not be used to Player-Kill, Kill-Steal, hoard farming locations, or any other in-game behavior that is frowned upon. It goes without saying that macros, dupes, game bug exploits, and other such foolishness will never be used. In short, your character will be leveled the safest way possible: by going through the grind.
Account Security
We understand that you may be nervous about letting us access your game account while leveling your character. Game account theft is a very real problem, thus we take the security of our custumers' game accounts very seriously. In addition to the fact that we as a company would like to stay in business for more than a few weeks, you should take comfort in the fact that we only need your game ID and password to level your character. We do not need your master ID, password, or your birthday, all of which is needed to take full control of an account. Since you alone retain this vital information, your account is fully secure.

Seems they had a bad egg in their Leveling section.

I don't care about your ninja bandanas!
Give me an Assassin Mask!
