Right, so Republik Games (basically a n00b development house based in Hollywood) is developing an MMO. Is it an RPG? Is it a strategy game? I'll let you decide. It's called Spend the Night. Officially it is a "social MMO" (Vis a Vis, The Sims Online), for lack of a better term, its online interactive sex. Thats the best term for it. Period. Whats more, its target mainly for the female audience. What are these buggers thinking.

C'mon guys, was there ever a doubt in your minds that this game would be created?  Online gaming and porn are two of the biggest industries in the world today.  It only makes sense to combine them.

And believe it or not, women are nearly half of the porn industry's consumer base.  I'm not at all surprised that this is being marketed towards women.  Now people can go to a club or bar (albeit virtual) and hook up with whoever is willing.  There's no guilt if you don't call eachother the next day, there's no worrying about STD's, there's no money wasted on food and alcohol, hell you don't even have to get to know eachother!  And all from the comfort of your own home.

If you search long enough, you'll find a fetish for damn near anything.  Virtual sex is just another one to chalk up on the list.
