Title: Serious
Post by: Anonymous on October 17, 2005, 03:27:20 pm
If any of you know someone who owns the address rinker.g@gmail.com, tell them this isn't funny. There were maybe a dozen people in beta that knew about Rinker, an alt female char I made. This individual has sent me one incendiary of an e-mail, knowing more about me and my past than anyone outside my direct family and close friends should.

By the way, if one of you is doing this, I swear upon everything that is good and holy on this great earth that I will cause you pain unimaginable by any human mind, to the point that death will be a sweet savor comparativly.

Otherwise, carry on.

Did you have any other use for the name "Rinker" besides MxO? Do you know how this person could have gotten said information? Perhaps your email account? Or your PC? If this information is stored anywhere electronically, then it sounds like a hack job. I'll help you in any way I can, as there's nothing worse than some punk trying to use the anonymity of the internet to harrass you.

Reason # 2001222431 why we need a machine that will punch people in the face via the internet.

I leveled that charachter to about level 20 in beta and that was it. Nothing else. It was one of those 'made up on the spot names'. Never used it before, or since. I'm going to murder this person.

You could report it to Google.  Not that that would reveal who they are due to privacy acts and such, but its probably a step in the right direction.

Seriously, I would think if its information that close friends/family should only know, that it is one of those people, you just have to find out which one it is. (I know I've played tricks on friends with created yahoo/msn accounts.)

Yeah dude.  Look into the people in whom you've confided this information.  I don't know how it is in other families, but in my family we share EVERYTHING.  It's just how we are.  If you've done or said something, chances are the rest of the family knows about it before sundown.

Do a little detective work and be prepared to maul whoever let the info slip.  I don't want to put ideas in your head, but Home Depot is having a special on razor wire.
