Another Hurricane, that is. Hurricane WIlma is already a Category 5 with sustained winds of 175mph, and they're saying "it's the most powerful hurricane on record for the Atlantic Basin", apparently.
It looks like we're going to get it here in Florida around the weekend, so anyone here that's a Florida resident living in central (Joaquin and I) and southern Florida make sure to get a full tank of gas, a generator, a carton of smokes and a case of beer, and be safe.
At least we'll get the weekend off of work!
-
Good luck to you!
-
pfft... knowing my fellas, their probably STILL gonna put me to work...
I mean jeez... the schools ARE considered shelters so it shouldn't be a problem to work there as i wait =P
-
Damn.
This is going to ruin my weekend.
-
What in the sam hill is it with all these hurricanes?
Do you hear me God?! You're not getting rid of us! You put us here, now deal with it!
-
Yep, this one is really gonna suck. Good luck to everyone else, this one should be loads of fun. Hopefully, I won't have to work.

wilma? yabba dabba doo da! :p
take care, and on monday morning, don't expect the boss to accept any "the hurricane ate my homework" excuses ..... :p
-
yeah that's some scary shit dude, went from 150 on this story from reuters I had, then all of a sudden, in a couple hours, it went up to 175..
That is just too strong
-
It might end up being not that strong when it hits the Florida peninsula. It showed Wilma as being a cat 1 by the time it reaches FL, but we are listening to weathermen. They are only forecasting the possible strength and track of the storm. I dont know, things change everyday. Storms are no different. Hopefully I was right about the weakening strength, b/c I dont feel like doing my roof again.

Ok, well the hurricane should hit us by sometime tonight/tomorrow morning. It should be about a Cat 2 or 3 when it hits us. I hope that everything goes okay for everyone else involved and hope to see you all as soon as my power comes back (hopefully it won't go out at all *prayer*)

good luck everyone!

So how did everyone in the southern tip do?
The storm moved through fast but it was still rather powerful Cat. 3, and now we have nice 50 degree weather and sunny skies. Screw weather.
