I actually used an online essay generator in my senior english class for a report on Beowulf.  The essay had nothing whatsoever to do with the book (which I did read, I just wanted to play FFVII rather than write the report).  At some points, paragraphs were duplicated and repeated in succession.

I got a 97%.  My teacher didn't read a single word.  :D

I once got an A on a 300 point essay for my Geography class. It was 37 pages long...and all of it copied, word-for-word, from Microsoft Encarta :D

The person teaching it that semester was the school's wrestling coach, because the usual teacher was on Maternity Leave XD

Stupid jocks, heh heh heh

You guys had it easy. In High school My senior English teacher was given GIVEN a program that check for depuation and check on the web to see if it has been posted up their then give a score base on how much was duplated. That was some major suckage.

Rorin my college has that, but after this quarter I won't have any essay writting classes. (Gotta love COMP SCI.) And the one class I do have to write for this quarter is ENG101 (required class) that is taught by an grad student and there is only 25 of us the class. She reads every word. But writing about FFVII doesn't sound too bad.

My 11th grade english teacher didn't read anything.  He had daily handouts on vocabulary.  I eventually got around to putting in counter-strike map names....symbols....I only got docked it I didn't fill in anything.  In another assigment(a review sheet for some book) I even included answers such as "stupid question" and "?". I actually answered a whole page(3 or 4 questions which were suppose to be short answer questions) with "?".  0 points off :).

I know the TA's mark our essays. They're just older students. I wonder if they'll read my essays. I'm going to have to test this out. Hummm...

I once had a math test where each problem was worth 3 points.  On one question I wrote down "I don't know" as the answer.  The teacher gave me one point.  In the margin of the page she wrote "At least you were honest."

I had a really stupid technology teacher in high school. When we had to hand something in (usually a file on a CD) I would do the following:

1. Create the file in Paintbrush (just a big black square... the size of the file depended on the size of the square).
2. Save the file with a .doc extention (.doc for an essay in Word... or .ppt if the project was in powerpoint... etc..).
3. Save on disk and hand that in.

When the teacher went to open the file in Word, all she would see was those crazy ascii characters. When the teacher asked me about it, I would just say, "OH shit I'm sooo stupid. My version of Word is newer. Let me save it again in the right format and hand it in tomorrow." And I would act really disappointed with myself about why I didn't save it in the right format.

And voila! Extention. That OBVIOUSLY doesn't work with smart teachers or professors in university. This teacher was really nice. Also note that this was a couple years ago when it was a common mistake to save in the wrong format.
