Hey guys, due to a really really nasty virus that got into my network, my system will be down for a little bit. I'm going to have to reformat/reinstall every-damn-thing. For you, this means my FTP will not be up until the rest of the system is, and I am positive the virus didn't spread into my backup drives. Obviously I won't be back in game for a bit... Broin, check your PMs later
Pros:
1.I get to upgrade to Windows Server 2003 (thanks bell).
2.A nice wipe of a HD is a good thing once in a while.
3.Get rid of unused programs... So more space.
4.Keep my arse busy for a while.
Cons:
1.EVERYTHING ELSE!
2.See above.

Ha, I killed my motherboard. So stop complaining.

My network is crap right now. Pages aren't loading right. Connections aren't stable. Blah.

The world has turned again us. I say we stand up and fight it.

I need to reinstall WIndows myself and pinpoint the faulty hardware in my PC that's been giving my IDE drives problems lately.
-
Server 2003 is a nice OS for server stuff! My old desktop used to crash constantly on XP and Win 2k Pro, but Server 2003 has super stabilized it.

Are there any XP programs that don't mesh well on 2003 Serv?
-
I couldn't get Norton to work on it... I had to get a program called NOD32 (seems to do a good job) haven't thrown a virus on the computer to test it tho :p
Other than that, I'm using that computer as a print server, and had to go manually download the Epson Drivers for my printer. I don't believe Server 2003 existed when the original driver CD was shipped.

My server = xp running w/o mouse keyboard or monitor. Never had an issue. Replaced it with a NAS though

I wanted to run linux, however I just didn't have the time to set up all the win/linux stuff with samba... one of these days :p

Win2k3Serv and the FTP are back up.
Same FuseAddress (fuse.gotdns.com)
Same FuseLogin(FA)
Same FusePW(fa2006)....I think.
It will be up and down for the next few days as I tweak settings and such. Never more than 15 or so minutes though.
