Post by: Anonymous on April 19, 2006, 11:04:58 pm: But Dubbing has reached its all time low. Dear god these dubs suck for Advent Children. The only reason I am picking up the DVD on the 25th is for the subbed and extra features. Thanks for butchering the original dialog!

They have totally defecated on the original dialogue. "You meanie"? What the fucking hell? Maybe that's why I'm not a fan of anime, because because I've only been exposed to english dubbing jobs like this.

Post by: Eroz on April 20, 2006, 01:46:42 pm: I don't beileve that Square Enix would let this out that bad. SE is always decent with their voice overs..... It was suppose to be more of the same crew that did Kingdom Hearts 1/2. I just don't beileve that this is the same crew....

Heh I was let down even further, so you thought "You meanie" was bad. How Tifa says "drifting, drifting, drifting drifting" or the actual dialog "zuru zuru zuru zuru" in the subs becomes "Dilly Dally Shilly Shally" in the dub I will never fing know.

Thank the heavens for the original Japanese dialog on the dvd and very cool special features.

The only way Square can make this up to me is to do what they should have done in the first place. Put out a better fecking translated FF7(The PS1 despite being awesome had terrible translation errors) remake for the PS3 updated graphics and voice overs. I would be all over the Import FF7 remake.

Like Postnuke, you just need to switch one folder and they everything is converted for that langage. Why can't they just make that so they change that folder and the langange change (along with month movements.)

That's really sad. I had read they were pretty good but hearing them, it is fucking awful. Wow, another great movie/show ruined by horrible dubbing. You using actual actors this time would have made a difference...I guess not :(

You need at least the 2.6 firmware just to watch the movie...that was a nice waste of 25 bucks (that is until someone comes out with some kind of crack for that.)

I only have Black Hawk Down (14.99,) Serenity (19.99) and Advent Children (22.99.) I want to get Matrix and get Reloaded when that comes out.

I tried ripping from the DVD and watching it but the picture/audio quality doesn't compare to a UMD even after the best conversion.

To answer your question simply... I'm a consumer whore when it comes to movies :D
