I'm getting a new mobo and video card, and here's the only two options I'm going to have for the motherboard.
I'll throw up what I see as pros and cons, and hopefully if you're knowledgable about these brands you can throw some comments in there as well.
Option 1:
http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16813153035
Pros: Socket 754 AND 939, for future upgrades.
Cons: Only 1 PCI-e slot, so no SLI for me. Also, Jetway seems pretty generic, but it has good customer reviews.
Option 2:
http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16813123257
Pros: SLI Capable(Two PCI-e slots)
Cons: Only Socket 754, so very, very limited room for upgrades. Also, another generic brand, but good reviews.
Other information and help I need:
Can anyone confirm that these have the ability to take IDE HDD's and SATA HDD's, which is what I understand so far.
Also, I am in dire need a tutorial on how to take loosen up the thermal paste without damaging neither the heatsink nor the chip when I remove the processor. How do I do this safely, and how do I clean the heatsink and chip?
Thanks much for your help! Let me know what you think ASAP, I want to order one of these tommorow. I'm leaning towards Option 1.
Oh, by the way, here's the videocard I'm nabbing.

Quick point regarding upgrades on the mobo... let's face it if you get a new processor you'll likely get a new mobo too, I can't remember the last time I upgraded a CPU without doing the mobo too...

Good point, that's what I was thinking about with all this as well. I guess I'll just replace my AGP card and wait another year and do the whole full upgrade.
