Title: fraps
Post by: likwidtek on July 03, 2006, 12:27:36 am
oh... before I begin I guess if you don't know what fraps does you should go here first:  www.fraps.com

Anywho... I finally got it all figured out.

OK so the problem was I installed the newest demo out.  When you do this... there is this software protection that gets installed called armadillo.  It hides some shit the the registry that says you installed another version.  Well I intalled a demo version and then uninstalled it and tried to install the older version that was precracked and the armadillo protection kept it form loading.  Anyways...  after digging for hours I found fixes.

So here's the fruit of my labor any of you that want to run fraps and not pay for it.  :)

In the rar file you can ignore the trial reset program if you have never installed fraps before.  You can just run the fraps install and if it runs then you are good to go.  If it installs and when you double click the icon and nothing happens you need to read the text file and run the trial reset thingy.  :)

Enjoy!

When I double clicked on the .rar file it gives me 2 options..... "Use the Web service to find the appropriate program" and "Select the program from a list". What do I select? I have the trial version 2.6.3

you need to A) have winrar and B) associate winrar to .rar files. This can be done through winrar, or hitting select the program from a list, then finding winrar on that list.
