The Furious Angels

It was one year ago today when I first slipped on my wings and became a Furious Angel and what a year it has been. In the beginning I didn't know what to make of it all; sure I had heard of FA, who hadn't, but I had no idea of what to expect nor what was to be expected of me.
I joined FA not because of their long-standing in-game reputation but because of their uncompromising ideals and character. Every place (in real-life and in-game) needs those few who will stand up to oppression and subversion, who are not afraid to fight back against tyranny, and who will aid those who are distressed. To me, being a member of the Furious Angels is more than just about pvping with an awesome group of guys (and gals) it's about making a difference in a place where there is too much indifference and about belonging to something that is larger than ourselves. We protect those who can not protect themselves; that is our job, that is our duty. (Those who know some of what I do in RL will understand where this is coming from)
Over the past year I have seen the retirement of many of our fellow Angels and it has saddened me but with each new recruit my faith in this faction is renewed. To those who are new to the fold remember this; here is not a place for amateurs or the weak of heart. To be a Furious Angel is to be a beacon to those suffering in the dark night of a treacherous world. Even though we are but players in a game we should not nor can not take our responsibility lightly. There are those who seek to destroy us and to create chaos for us all but we must stand strong and persevere for not doing so means the end of what we have worked so hard to maintain.
These wings will help you fly, but it is your conviction that makes you soar.
I look back on this last year and relish in the friendships I have forged and the great times I have had. I know no better place to be than here with my brethren Angels and I can honestly say that without FA, I would have left MxO long ago.
To the year to comeā¦

Wow. That was wonderful.
I did have to read the bottom of your post to make sure you weren't leaving, though. Here's to another year!

Happy anniversary?
Read as "I'm Ron Burgandy?"
Was the question mark intentional?

Umm... fixed!

Great speech!
Congratulations on your one year anniversary, and it's a pleasure to have you here.
