Well, it's that time. A new stage in my life has begun. I'm leaving college for good and can honestly say I don't know where I'll be in two weeks. I have a pretty good idea I'll end up in Memphis, but during the transition I'll be with my parents. So this brings me to a question on internet. I don't know how much access I'll have in the coming weeks. At my parents', I should be fine (as long as the damn wireless network isn't giving me problems). If I get the gig in Memphis, I have no clue.

Tbone's Current Status Is: FINALLY I have the router working and have internet access again! I'm moved in and ready for action!

Well, not only did I get the Memphis gig, but they offered me a lead role in one of the shows. I was quite surprised. It's resume gold...too bad I'm still getting paid peanuts. I'll be moving to Memphis in a week or so, and the guy who I'm moving in with (taking his upstairs attic-apartment) has what appears to be a DSL line (he said it was broadband...I have an eerie feeling it's one of those "5x faster than dial-up things...hopefully not"). I'll be bringing a wireless router and piggybacking his connection much like I'm doing at my parents' house now. Hopefully it'll work fine and I'll still be functional! I also heard that the theatre I'm going to in Virginia has wireless internet (yay!).

ah cool :) lol yeah that 5x faster than dial up is a joke ... all that is is dial up that doesn't show everything on a website.  Takes some colors away from pictures just basically like going from 1280 x 768 to 800 x 600 far less quality.

If one of us just happens to be in the area, when and where can we catch you're show?

Also, may want to see if any of the neighbors has a wireless network (they sell keychain wifi finders for a few bucks) in case you need to piggyback off of them (requires wireless card though).

I won't be in game for about a week. I had a bad cpu, so I had to send it back to the manufaturer. Everything else is in my new pc so when the cpu comes back I should be back in game.

Tbone - Just a quick note, to actually get the 35% Speedboost on your Linksys router, you must also purchase a Linksys Speedboost reciever, otherwise you just run at the standard 54mbs.  So make sure that modem/reciever packaging does indeed advertise the Speedboost!

Yeah, I know. That's why I bought the deluxe combo one - comes with both the router AND modem, BOTH speedboosted. Extra cash but hopefully worth it.

Well, the guy has a mac, so I have to work around the router. He doesn't know any of his ISP details, and since I have to manually input it, I am stuck at the moment. He has a tech guru friend who is supposed to come help tomorrow. I am on a friend's comp at the moment. Hopefully I'll be up and running soon :(
