Title: My New Schedule
Post by: Jeyk on September 27, 2006, 11:32:21 am: I've got a new schedule starting this week, so playtime may be curtailed mildly, at best.

Last week I became an officer of a student organization on campus and this week was accepted as an undergrad research assistant in the cognitive and neuroscience lab (I found I have a hard time trying to not play with the rats, lol, they're awesome).

Between lab hours, organization office hours, and full time courses (only on Monday, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, thankfully), I'm going to lose a lot of playtime during exam weeks.

Overall, I honestly don't think it will get in the way much; just giving a heads up that I will be strapped for time on various weeks, namely early December.

I'm still alive, but for fuck's sake I've been busy as hell. I'm sooooo friggin' sick of school. I've got to finish two research papers tonight, and start another one and prepare a presentation for next week. It's like my professors decided to cram as much workload as possible into November.

I can't wait until Thanksgiving - no research lab, no office hours, no work, and I'm going to completely ignore everything with the exception of food and videogames.

2 more weeks until finals....shoot me now please.

5 classes (16 credit hours), 6 hrs a week as a research assistant in the lab, office hours, and some work on the weekends (not every weekend, thankfully).

Since I have to be there 4 days a week in a town 50 miles away from home, I'll be staying in Tampa 2 nights a week on a friend's couch.

Believe it or not though, with all that being said, I think I will actually have a little more free time vs. last semester due to a couple of the classes being insanely easy. I'll attempt to get on more!

Post by: Jeyk on April 06, 2007, 09:50:13 pm: Whew! Sorry I haven't been in game as much recently - I'm still here, but I've been packed with school and socializing a little more.

I've got four weeks left this semester...finals starting in two. Instead of graduating this semester, I've decided to pursue a double major and registered for part-time summer and full time Fall semesters. After that, I'll have a few months off to try and sneak my way into a graduate program.

Anyway, I'm letting everyone know I'm still around!
