Title: Damn, I need help.

Okay, I got some trojan horse virus on my cpu I got rid of it and it kept on coming back. Now, (I think it's the virus) it has sent a message to most of my contacts online on MSN saying "omg is this really you?" then there was a link after it, a MS paint file. I tried to open it and 3 trojan horses attacked my CPU, I got 'em but I'm currently doing another scan.


Any ideas?

Has your scanner identified the exact virus name?  If so, symantec actually makes decent removeal utilities... that work (unlike norton av, thats is great at finding them, but can't remove or delete many). If its on the list of removal utilities then grab it and run it.  Otherwise, it could be really tough to rid of.

I did a system restore, I downloaded something I think it was a IM names pack. So far so good, thanks for the tip.
