It's an exact copy of BF2, except there are new skins and new weapons and a laggy new mode. The "Titan" mode is a lot laggier than any other mode, and is probably the laggiest game I've played in a while. The guns aren't really that cool, but to give the demo some credit, you can't get any new unlocks for the game, so it might be different in the retail version because you can get stuff when you get a higher rank.
You can download it in about 30 minutes on EA Downloader if you have a fast enough connection. I got mine done in about 25 and then installed in about 5 minutes. I'm thinking that the retail will be a lot better just because the demo does not give you unlocks, which is where I'm hoping the gold of the game will be.
But if you do buy the demo, just be sure you know that you're paying 50 dollars for a ranked mod. /emote Anamodiel rolls here eyes.

well I personally am not one to care too much about the multiplayer. To be honest, I like those kind of games for the single player mode.... that is if it has one. and i liked the other battlefield games but if im playing single player then the lag wont be a factor :). but in any case thanks for the heads up.

Yeah I would've liked to see a single player demo, so you can rally try out the vehicles, etc, without being camped out immediately by hardcore sploiters.
I didn't find Titan demo laggy... seems interesting anyway, and I really like these FPS types.
IF they just made BF2 into a proper world, instead of 20 minute game instances, it would be really interesting - Like WW2 Online, there could be a sweeping front-line, and changing battles and fights over different pieces of land, even when you don't play.

The demo sucks. I played Beta, and it was a lot better because you could actually rank up, and get better weapons. Granted, you only had Titan mode, and had to deal with bugs, it was still a lot more fun. On the basis of that, I'll probably be buying the game. Frankly, Titan mode wasn't that laggy for me, and I'm running on a 2 year old comp setup. I plan on upgrading soon to a Core 2 Duo, which will make gameplay all the more sweet. :D

I'll probably get it a week or so after release. I'm enjoying the demo at the moment.
