The coins cannot be customized to a specific date or name as each die mold (1 for each side) costs about 99.00 each. If you want it customized I can order it for you, but I will need the cash upfront.
-
so $198+actually making the coin=A crap load just for customization :)
-
nope, 198.00just to make the die molds, does not include the coins
-
198 dollars for one coin do u mean dollars or cent lol you must be losing alot of money if theyre selling for 7 dollars a pop
-
well yeah that was for the mold... and im not sure how we are paying for the mold... whether bellthazor was nice enough to pay for it or if we are paying for it by buying the coins.... im really not sure how thats working out. (but yes 198 dollars)
-
I'm eating the cost of making the molds since it was my idea, I am only charging for coins, what it cost to ship to you.
If I was charging for the cost of the molds, and with out the discount it would be about 15.60 each.
I'm not trying to make any money off of these, I just thought it would be nice to have something that no one else has.
BREAKDOWN OF THE COST
We currently have 42 active players at 6.75 a pop it breaks out to be 283.50 plus the cost of making the mold 198.00 for a total of 481.50. I also had to pay to have the image placed into a program that works with the machines they use to do the cutting 175.00 for a grand total of 656.50 without tax.
This breakdown is for anyone concerned that I might be trying to make a buck or two off of them.
-
wow well we all owe you our gratitude for doing that then. Thanks and i'll probably grab me up one in a few days :)
-
You paid $198 for the mold? I see.
-
>.< I want one....
-
Six-hundred-and-fifty-fucking-dollars!
Bell, dude, thank you. To be honest, I think you're a bit insane for not charging us more for these things. :)
It's one thing for a gaming group to have t-shirts. But hell, customized collector's coins? How awesome is that?!
Bell, if you're ever cruising through the land of Zion (the real one), look me up. I'll buy you a drink. Ah screw it, a couple drinks. You deserve it.
-
maybe FA is moving beyond the realm of a gaming society?
-
If I was charging for the cost of the molds, and with out the discount it would be about 15.60 each.
Even $16 doesn't seem like that much for a badass collector coin like that.
-
Heh, Ive even tried to tell him hes nuts, but because hes nuts, he just doesn't listen.. You rock Bell!
-
Yes, thank you very much for being this generous Bell!
-
Thanks Bell. I sent my $10.
-
Thank you Bell, you're the man!
He's on top of all the orders too, sending them all out asap...very friendly, very curtious.
haha, sounds like eBay feedback.
-
Got my coin, pretty sweet. Definitely worth more than Bell is charging!! thanks again Captain!
-
Mine just arrived. These things are nice!
My only complaint is that the high quality gloss finish on these things makes them very prone to fingerprint smudges. I would recommend removing the coin from the plastic sleeve once, just to get a feel for it, then immediately polishing it off and putting it back in the sleeve, never to be touched again. :)
-
I haven't touched mine and my GF took it out and felt it and i freaked out and now she thinks its stupid cause of how I acted about her touching it. :(
-
I can see if they can remove the polished look, maybe a dull finish...please let me know :)
-
can you give me some confirmation you got my cash? (yes/no)
-
I don't except the cash until I know you have the coin. Please let me know once you have the coin. :)
-
Oh, well I paid in advance lol. My emial address is in your PM box.
-
Ok, here is a company that sells the easels really cheap. I did not get the one from where I got the coins because they looked cheap and they wanted 2 bucks a pop. Here is a link and an image of the one I found. I figure you guys can order them, would be cheaper than me getting them, and mailing them out, and for the price you can't beat'em.

One of my good friends has family in Egypt. One day I went to her house and saw a sheesha on thier table and I asked her mother "why do you have a bong on the table?" Then they explained what it was used for and that it was like $20 to get one over there, so they got me one - though I never have used the thing. My wife refuses to let me use it as a centerpeice for our kicthen table.

Sorry to drag off topic but I fixed that little problem up.
-
If you haven't gotten one of these you best do it... These things are sweet. I'd say get two one for display the other to tote around with you :D
-
Did we ever find out if there is a way to order the coin without any coating what so ever?
-
Err am I eligable?

I can't order one. I'm too young and my parents would disapprove. :(

I'll send them another e-mail. There may be an order requirement...
So please let me know how many want it with out the coating, and I'll see what they come back with.
-
I'd like one without the plastic. It's just more satisfying to hear the *ping* when I'm flipping the coin around. :)
-
Agreed

WTF!!!! WHY ARE YOU FLIPPING IT?!??!?! You should be keeping it safe and secure.
-
That reminds me, there's something I need to attend to...
-
Psssst! Bell, check your PMs.
-
What's the status on the non-plastic-finish coins? My cubicle needs a new Matrix conversation peice. :)
-
I would have to oder another lot of coins..which unless I have enough people getting them I'm not going to be order them. There are some that sad they were going to order them and did not, but the price is only about 1.25 less per coin of what I paid.
-
I'm also currently working on a new FA piece, so you'll have something new soon...I'm only waiting on the quote, and eta to do the job. Please be patient.
-
Psssst! Bell, check your PMs.
/poke
-
pssst bell... what he said :) when you get a chance
-
I would like an FA coin with no color or coating; one that can stand the abuse of being in my pocket. (I tried NOT for that to sound dirty but I couldn't; seriously I tried)
-
Are these still available?
....and what's with the coating/no coating issue?
-
yeah i believe we can still order them ... and they have some sort of plastic coating on them as far as Im aware .. I guess it adds luster to it.
-
Since I originally joined at the release of MxO, do I qualify?
-
I actually have the mulah to buy one now! I'm excited!
-
hmm you'll have to argue that with tbone... he may let you phienyx im not sure.
-
I believe this promotion is designed for members who have been active and in the faction for 6 continuous months since your most recent join date.
-
Still available. Tbone, or Broin can autherize early releases.
-
Are there any of these coins still available?
-
I would like to know the same, Bell.
Totally forgot about these.
-
Yep...have a ton left :D ....I just need your mailing addresses, and payment...If you would like more than one please let me know, and we can handle payment after it is shipped.

You do NOT live in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
You're lying.
That is scarily close to my old grade school. And even more scarily close to the park we used to have track practice at.
How did I never realize that you lived in GR?
-
Bell, were you ever able to get that digital picture of the angel on the coin for me?
thankss

Immaculate Heart of Mary? I know right whre that is. Yeah, yeah, it took me almost a year to respond to this....lol.
-
It's always a good idea to remind folks of what your home address is.
-
lol....no worries. Anyone who has access to these boards is welcome....including those intending to do harm. :D
-
What do you want? Letter bomb or anthrax?
-
I prefer fruit cake. Its more lethal.
-
Possible to still get one of these?
-
I just PM'd Bellthazor. Though I haven't seen him around in some time.
-
Now that I have a Paypal account AND a debit card, I could be persuaded into purchasing one of these, especially because they're so cheap.
Of course, I would understand if the price had to be upped a bit to create some new ones.
-
As an owner of one of these fine specimens, I can attest that it is the quintessential piece of FA shwag.
I keep it under my pillow every night, and I have yet to die in my sleep. This suggests a direct correlation between owning an FA coin and living a long and healthy life. The data doesn't lie.
-
I second that. I've owned one for years now and no real harm has been dealt to me either. Case closed.
-
I have one and I got my dreamjob!
-
I got mine, and within a week I went to LA and met the man of my dreams. Better than freaking Genie.
-
lits... silly... we haven't met yet.

*blush*
