Just wondering where all of you knuckleheads would go MMO wise if MxO died? :)
-
you know something we dont old chap?
-
No, lol just a question. Personally, I'd like to keep in touch if it did. But we all know it wont! Right?!
-
Maybe Hello Kitty Island Adventure? I hear it's fun. Though, according to the IQ-challenged, I already play WoW? That's the latest I've heard:
"Hey look, it's Tbone. Taking a break from WoW?"
The other MMO we've been keeping tabs on is Darkfall Online, but who knows how that game will turn out. It's my theory that MxO will be replaced with the DC Comics MMO currently in development.
-
Either Darkfall or WoW...chances are we would stick together and move to one of those, Darkfall I'm betting.

I'd go for Darkfall if the choice was mine, but we'll have to see how the game is.
-
I'd pick a game not made by sony and not ran by 19 year-old kids with no management skills.
-
Back to FPS games, most likely xbox live and halo 3 (when it's released)
-
I'd most certainly go with the pack to a new MMO. I wouldn't be able to stand NOT having some form of an MMO.
-
Isn't Darkfall still in the making? Or has a Beta been release... or something..
-
DDO, but first I have to get back into MxO.
-
whereever FA goes.
-
No where until the final installment of the FA video is filmed, compiled, and posted... :D
Yes I have plans for one of it ever comes to this but don't get started on the we need to do a new FA video... :D
-
MxO will not die.
-
Broin wrote

ummm Broin we need to get s...... :p
-
What? A new FA video? When ya starting it Broin?? ;)
Hehe
-
SWG. I'm already a level 50. Only 40 more levels to go. :D
-
I got Lv. 90 in SWG. Granted hes been retired for quite some time. I would never go back.
-
I'd be going to that Marvel MMO I mentioned before, the cross-platform one
-
Never touching SWG again until Lucas himself caps some heads at SOE.
WoW, hands-down. have a couple high-level charachters there that I would like to finish leveling to 60 (70 in january).
Stormrage server BTW. The account has been on ice for a while now.
-
SWG, Darkfall or the new LOTR, maybe Warhammer online.... But, where ever the pack goes :D
I hated WoW...
-
By the way, that Marvel Ultimate Alliance game isn't as bad as I first thought it would be. It's actually a lot more fleshed out and there are a lot more goodies and cinematics and options than I first thought. If you like button mashers, it is a good one to try.
-
I've been keeping my eye on Age of Conan, Star Trek Online and Star Gate Worlds.
-
I'd just quit MMO's altogether; I don't think I could take another one unless it is some very hot shit.
-
Huxley (http://www.online-multiplayer.com/huxley/) looks interesting.
Webzen netcode is good...
-
I've been keeping my eye on Age of Conan, Star Trek Online and Star Gate Worlds.
I looked at Star Trek online a few months ago and it just didn't impress me.. I think EVE online has really good potential though.. even though it maxes out my computer when I play
-
Well i have a wow account and i think that would be a fun game to go to just for raids cause i always wanted to get a lvl 60 and go raiding with some good guys and it would be awesome to have a 40man raid with you guys to get some phat loot. I only got a lvl like 36 cause really good people to play with are hard to find, even though i have 6 or 7 real life friends that play on the same server :(
Even though WoW would be a good game to go to, I think I need something new to play, something totally fresh where like it would come straight out to launch right when we started so we could play through like how we did MxO and go through the evolution of the game and get to be uber for completing uber stuff first and all that cool stuff you cant do if you just go join a game that has been out for a couple years, minus that fact that we went through most of the content in beta for mxo, and also hopefully the game wouldn't die shortly after release kinda like MxO did.
-

I didn't like eve. Due to the nature of the game, there isn't that much to do. Battles were quite fun, but the community side.... well players literally passed like ships in the night.
I really liked that MS space game -- Frontier? Ahh, can't remember, but anyway I figured EVE would be good, but nah - not for me.

Yep, except that's where I got confused. UA is the offline game, MUO is the online MMO

Well broin you need to check your fucking pm's first. Like the pm I sent you 3 days ago that you still have yet to read.

OOHHH! Burn!

I'm gone for a little while and suddenly the uniform is under scrutiny, Tbone's playing WoW, and now we're talking morbidly about MxO?
WHAT is this world coming to?
And for the record I wouldn't go anywhere. I'd follow the group wherever we decided, but it just wouldn't be the same.
-
Tbone plays WoW?! WHAT SERVER?! lol :P
-
I've really been looking into other MMOs that are not based in a fanstany setting, but more a future settings. I tried out Neocron 2, and am looking forward to Shadowrun-Online (not the Xbox based one, this is something different), but I doubt that one will ever get off the ground. I just want a good future MMO, and the Matrix Online is the only one that fits that.
-
Star Trek online will be releasing sometime in the near future. :)
-
http://www.online-multiplayer.com/huxley_pc_release_date.htm
That made me LOL hard. :D
But yeah, Huxley has looked cool for the last HOW MANY years that its been in development? I swear, sometimes a company needs to wait until a little closer to release date to start making serious press announcements. I'm sure its all based on somebody's stock options going up or down...
WoW end-game content is amazing by the way. Much more satisfying than MxO has ben, or ever will be. EvE is much more about player economics. (You can buy pr0n with your in-game monies FFS)
-
I wish I could remember who said they play Wow :/
-
...and am looking forward to Shadowrun-Online (not the Xbox based one, this is something different)...
Eh? I thought it was in that Windows Anywhere shit or whatever... cross platform the like Marvel game?
-
I think he means more of an RPG oriented Shadow run that takes place online much like an MMO. The Shadowrun cross-platform title is an FPS. I just recently signed up for the beta of Shadowrun for 360. Anyways I have to savor MxO, so my account is not going anywhere.
But in the event the Matrix goes offline, I would like to mess around with Huxley, Darkfall, and of course Stargate Worlds, because cool mythological references and advanced alien weapons makes for fun.. Not to mention I'm hoping we can choose between being Human, Jaffa, Goauld, Tokra, Asgard, Wraith, Ancient, etc.. The possible race types are what I'm awaiting to find out. Oh and MUO(Marvel Ultimate Online) sounds cool, plus it's designed by Cryptic Studios(CoH,CoV).
-
For me, the best community games are ever changing worlds, even better if we can access offline information (Planetside is a good example of this, although the graphics and rpg element isn't good enough).
-
I have a couple 60's on WoW. Was a short hobby of mine once. I recently canceled my account though.
-

What about Ori? Eh, eh?! Yeah this looks shweet!
-
I've been following the Stargate Worlds game for a while, it shows some promise. Huxley would be my 2nd choice.

Shadowrun Online MMO styled
http://www.shadowrun-online.com/
-
Shadowrun Online is a cyberpunk thriller massively-multiplayer online roleplaying game for the PC and Xbox 360 that takes the player deep into a web of intricate storyline and intrigue
So, this looks like a user-made version. And there it is:

They're taking the FPS and using it as an MMO... interesting. I'd be interested to see how they intend to pull it off, whether it will be a private server affair or such. Still, it does look cool in a Deus-Ex-II-again kinda way.
-
I wish I could remember who said they play Wow :/
I play, Archimonde server.

It's called working your ass off... Some of us have to do it to keep you cushy little college punks from having to face the real world before you are ready for it. Then again most of ya never end up ready... Damn placed just keep churnin out a bunch of linguini limp wristed mush for spine tree huggers... :D
But have a nice day.... LOL
I swear I'll try to get in tomorrow
-
I would probably play huxley online its not out yet but it looks pretty cool
-
Agreed Broin...

hehe

I feel that a few "s" are missing from this comment. And I'm not a tree hugger, I like cutting them down.

I have a few characters on WoW... I still play but haven't since I got my wii.
wii > *
-
Well i had started that trial account and made a full one in WoW. I will still play MXO though, i will play it til its no more
-
im seriously considering going back to WoW just on a content bases. Ill be here untill the end as well but hey you need to keep ya interests peaked or else your gonna be miserable.
-
Yeah I just hop back and forth between WoW and MxO when MxO gets a patch I play till I have seen the new stuff then something will happen in WoW then I go check that out and the cycle continues forever, and WoW has a ton more content then MxO.
-
Bloodscalp ftw. :P

I'm the same way. MxO gets pretty borring after a bit of playing. I just reactivated my WoW account and have only spent a few (10) hours getting my UI the way I like it. So many of my UI stuff doesn't work anymore. =(
Uldum:
Rhonisi:Hunter (Main)
Tresorz:Priest
Roche:Shaman (storage)
Doomhammer:
Fusee:Warlock
Largic:Pally
(Leylel and Benevolence are also on this server)
Crushridge:
Milyn:Rogue
Steamwheedle Cartel:
Rhonisi:Rogue
No lvl60s. I spend too much time on MxO. =)
-
That which we do not speak of!!!
-
Just Curious, for the people that already play WoW we should team up and do quests together since its hard to find people to do it sometimes. Is WoW possibly ready for an FA GUILD???? hmmmm............My main char is on Anetheron: Hunter- name Pellantiar
Just Curious if you guys wanna team up in there. I should be back in Mxo soon too. They don't sell the game cards in Best Buy anymore, i really think they want people to stop playing and the only reason SOE bought it was to let it die to promote they're other online games. Its a conspiracy i tell ya
-
Is WoW possibly ready for an FA GUILD????
Umm yeah lets not. That is something that will need to be discussed and handled by Tbone.
I personally think WoW = crap.
-
The only game in which the name "Furious Angels" makes sense, is MxO.
-
The only game in which the name "Furious Angels" makes sense, is MxO.
Really? Cause there are other Furious Angel groups that play many games that do not include MxO.
(They probably know if they did start playing MxO the devs and collective would start persecuting them.)

I'm saying that the name "Furious Angels" has somewhat of a basis in the Matrix universe. If they make a Warcraft movie, god forbid, and they use Rob Dougan's music, again god forbid, I may rescind my previous comment.
There may be other gaming groups that call themselves "Furious Angels", but there is only one FA as far as I'm concerned.
I just don't think we need to branch out into other games. MxO is still alive and kicking, and this is where our roots are.
-
Alive and kicking?
I thought it was beaten and hanging on life support.
But I do agree that it is indeed where our roots are. It's just that I use to be in FA because I loved MxO. Now I'm in MxO because I love FA.
-
Alive and kicking?
As in kicking us in the balls?
-
If we did branch, i wouldnt want to turn this name into a multi game thing. make anew name new background for a completly different game/world.
-
Sorrow have you really been a memeber since 04?
-
member join dates are listed below the avatar.
-
Oh yea.... Thanks.
-
Also, I say since when I've been an angel inbetween my sigs ;)
-
I think Eroz was referring to the FA stamp in both of Sorrows' sigs.
"Officially Furious Since Dec. '04"
-
Meh, Minor details Minor details.

Ugh... I could never ever ever goto WoW... I played the 14 day trial... I was bored with the game before the trial was even over. The PvP Arenas were kinda fun but not enought to keep my attention and way too much down time.
Now Age Of Conan on the other hand... this game looks great. It has the innovation and new ideas that drew me to MXO and not to mention it looks great! Some of the cool features are it has real time combat... it's an action RPG... no more autoattack. you use 6 different dirrections to attack from head, stomach, left arm, right arm, left leg, right leg. These will be used to form all sorts of different cool combos. And every character and object has collision detections... so in combat if you swing your sword and it goes threw 3 baddies then you hit all three of them. The Massive PvP they have planned looks great... on thing people are going to be able to do is form formation for stat bonuses, etc. So gone are the days of hordes of people randomly fighting all over the place... this is war now. Personally I'm gonna have fun with the "drunken brawling" pvp mini-game. Whenever you go into and inn or tavern you have the option to start drinking. Once you start you can't use you equipment and your stats are meaningless. Depending on the kind of alcohol and combonation of drinks you have you get different stats and stats like "bliss" where you take more hits or "staggering" where your bobbing around so drunk your harder to hit. You fight hand to hand... fists, elbows, head, knees, feet, etc. or you can find weapons in the bar... table, chair, bottle, etc. I find it awesome that they've put so much attention and detail to a mini-game like this. This is apparent in every aspect of the game it's definately worth checking out. Oh and BTW this is going to be a Mature rated game... soooo no more kiddie mmo... lots of blood, gore, violence, sex, innuendo, etc. There are a ton more cool features in this game that are definately worth some attention.
