Holy fucking shit. This is amazing to listen to. It's about 20 minutes long...trust me, though, you won't get bored. Verizon sucks! Enjoy!

I can understand the Verizon reps confusion because he didn't state his goal at the very beginning. Instead he tried to explain the reason. So they had no idea what he was getting at. Yes they're stupid, but even stupid people recognize goals.
I have a feeling this conversation could have been shortened if he started off this way and kept hammering it into their heads. "look, I've been charged 71 dollars, I should only be charged 71 cents." If you listen to the entire thing, he's never once says that.

I'm glad I'm with Cingular. At least they know why they're charging me ungodly amounts. :)
But yeah, I'm with Dag. The guy should have just said "You're charging me in dollars, when I was quoted in cents. Hence I should only have to pay 71 cents."

IT wouldn't matter.. they can't differentiate between .002 dollars and .002 cents.. What is probably says is .002.. they assume that its cents because of the decimal so they are infact confused themselves.. what they should have told him obviously is .002 dollars per kilobyte or minute but because all it shows is .002 they think its .002 cents..
If that were me.. I would contact a lawyer.. Heironymus=now owns verizon. MWAHAHAHAHA It would be funny if the lawyer didn't see the difference either.. but he probably would...
furthermore.. the guy that said he had been a manager for 1.5 years... the guy should have said.. do you recognize a difference between 1.5 years and 1.5 months...

Oh my fucking god. I wanted to reach through the computer, through that guy's phone, and strangle that lady. What a complete idiot. The first guy as well. Both of them should be fired. Or sent back to elementary school where you learn about decimal places.
I can only hope that the people at T-Mobile know how to do their math correctly. :(

So he should be charged 1/5 of a cent per kilobyte, but since people can't read and told him cents he should be in the right.

If he has a recording of the call, maybe, but they can still argue that their usual rate is the higher one and so as a one-off mistake it can't be honored.

So... In actuality, they were both wrong? Both Verizon Wireless, and this guy? If my math skills serve me right, that means it shouldn't be $71 or $0.71. It should in fact be $7.xx

Uck, that's so frustrating I can't even listen to the rest of it.... revolting really. Trustmark Bank basically does the same s*** to me every other month or so
