I've come up with a solution that I think will please both sides of the teacher-student sex thing (in the context of female teachers sleeping with male students)
-Teacher must be attractive
-The kid she sleeps with can't currently be in any of her classes
-Age of consent should be scrapped and we should go with the standard age difference limit by gender. For men it's (age/2 + 7), for women there is no minimum age.
Example: a man who is 30, shouldn't sleep with a woman under 22, a 30 year old woman can sleep with a 13 year old boy no problem.
Is it a double standard? Yes
Is that a bad thing? No
I support hot teachers.

bah, after reading some psychological and legal case studies it turns out there are a variety of problems created or increased risk factors with female-male and female-female adult-child interaction.
a few examples (these apply to young children, mentally/physically handicapped people, in general people who cannot physically fight back and/or do not have the mental capacity to consent):
-mother/female authority figure abusing (beating/neglecting/etc) the child
-molestation or forced sexual acts (physical harm or not)
-thus causing psychological disorders, the younger the child, generally the more severe
for older guys (teenagers)
-increased risk of psychological disorders (apparently screwing your teacher when your 13 can mess with your mental development)
-as a result of psychological disorders, increased risk of abhorrent behavior, suicide, pedophilia, and in general "mutated mental development"
for men over the age of legal consent
-again, psychological disorders can arise (isn't this true of any relationship though? :-p)
-given a paternity test to prove the father, a woman can always sue the man for child support, even if she's the one who raped him (GHB + Viagra) or in some other way stole a sample of his semen to impregnate herself (hooray for legal loopholes!)
So that said, I guess I have to revise my suggestions.
1. No sex with people under legal age of consent (but check your local laws and various other countries, for example, in some countries you're allowed to claim a 12 year old wife. Some US state laws also allow for 16 year olds to consent)
2. half age + 7 still applies for men, for women, legal age of consent (so 22 year old tbone shouldn't go for anyone under 18 and 30 year old hot teacher needs to take a cold shower until her would be lover is of legal age to consent.)
3. again, shouldn't be currently in teacher's class.
Ok, I think I've exhausted this topic, next! :-p

Okay, I don't want to start on how many ways this is wrong, but who the hell has hot teachers anyway?
Though come to think of it a couple of my PE teachers were hot, but that's a totally different matter.

yeah true, I can only remember one teacher that I remember being hot. Maybe a few student teachers... hmm that might be the way to go.

I had a hot chemistry teacher in high school. She was probably just a couple years out of college. She couldn't have been older than 25.

I had a hot chem teacher that was in her 40s (but she was a competition runner, so she was in great shape for her age)*
I also had a hot english teacher, Ms. Hooker (no joke), but she got married in the spring, I wasn't the only disappointed person. She was 26 :-p
*My chem teacher had two hot daughters at the school, one was a freshman when I graduated, so I never got to know her, the older one dated my roommate but she went completely psycho on him (apparently her parents demanded perfection from her and she dragged him through her one month sobfest until SHE broke up with him to "spare him the grief").

Coach Barlow.... 11th grade English. Age 32. Intelligent, funny, gorgeous basketball body, two tatoos (chineese charachters for "Knowledge of Self" and "Love of Knowledge in hidable, but manly places). He was a chaperone for our graduation party at a local water park. The image of him in his swim trunks will NEVER leave me! /sigh
*on a side note, I ran into him at a party a couple of years after I graduated. Ironically enough, he was dating a former student of his (now in her late 20's) They were in a corner smoking weed and talking about the great philosophers of Ancient Greece*

I used to have a really hot science teacher. Apparently he was seen in a park beating a puppy with its leash. Not so sexy after that.

Stellhorn.... he's a proffessor/carpenter/technical director/scene shop foreman in the theatre department. *sigh* This man could lift me with his pinkie finger (but not overly muscled) and he could build you a yacht with only a hammer, some wood, and a radial arm saw. He's the Brawny paper towel guy w/o the plaid shirt.

seriously.. WHAT ELSE would you do while smoking weed.. DUH.. At least thats always the topic of discussion when my old roommate got high (before we got him kicked out for dealing)... ;)
