How many of you have played "The Path of Neo" and what did you think of this game?
-
I have it. It's fun for a while, but not the greatest... I do enjoy the amount of things you can do, like combos and such, but it's just as you'd think it would be to be Neo once he realizes he's The One. Too easy. It is fun to go back and do certain parts again tho like the burly brawl and the chateau... I'd give it a shot if you're considering it
-
Rent, don't buy. It's cool to play once, but it will more than likely collect dust on the shelf after that. I play it every now and then just for the Burly Brawl and to watch the ending.
-
Since I don't have an XBox or Playstation, I'll have to see if I can find it cheap somewhere for the PC.
-
I own it for Xbox, never really played it but my girlfriend played and beat it...
-
You can download it for free. Or that's what I did. Might be harder to find nowadays, but when it came out you could find it on most torrent sites. Worth playing. Much better than Enter the Matrix. Just not much replay value.
-
No replay value. I played it all the way through once in about 2 days. I haven't touched it since.
-
I own it for PC, if there's an easy way for me to send it to you, let me know
-
Well, since I don't have a DVD drive on this computer, I'll have to find an alternate method of putting it on my computer.
-
Any hints as where to obtain this?
-
Download and mount it on a virtual drive.
-
Yeah. Its the d/l part that is painfully slow. I've been d/ling since about 7p yesterday and I'm only @ 53%.
At this rate, I'll could just wait for pay day, and go buy a $20 dvd drive and the game for $10.

Download and mount it on a virtual drive.
What program do you recommend using for this?
-
Ok. I think I got this installed. Is anyone able to help further? I'm not able to actually start the game.
-
what file format do you have it in? is it like an iso?
-
Yes. Are you on TS right now?
-
I finally got things up and running....sort of.
My controls seem to be all funky. w/o my hand on any of the controls, Neo seems to be running constantly in circles to the left. Nothing I've done has remedied this situation yet, but it makes him nearly impossible to control.
-
yep i had the same problem with the game sometimes it would do it sometimes it wouldn't ... part of the problem was that i had a joystick connected to the computer. I took that off and had fewer problems but it would still happen from time to time.
-
I hear you can use a game-pad with the game. Is this true and if so, how?
-
Ok. I got everything working. The running in circle thing had to do with 2 other controllers I had plugged in. My game-pad and my flight stick. After unplugging both of those, I had no other control issues other than the ones that come with the game.
Its an awesome game, but it could have used another 6 months of beta testing and polish to iron out some of the control/camera issues.
-
good glad the joystick/gamepad was the issue as it was with mine and yes i agree the graphics could have been beefed up atleast on the charactor models and there are some serious flaws with the camera but all in all its still fun
-
The hand to hand combat system is the best. I wish there was an option to not draw weapons at all if you wish to use hand to hand combat only....or is there?
I wish more fighting games used a system like this.
-
there is .. I tend to holster the guns and just fight hand to hand sometimes not sure of the command but thats what the book/options panel is for.
-
I'll take a look. The entire control/options set up seems clunky and "cramp inducing" as its been described.
-
Ok I officially HATE this game...or should I say I hate the designers. I'm on "The Witch" level and this has got to be the most retarded level in the game. Not only does this bitch get in some magical stuns from half way across the room, most of the stuff you throw at her misses. On top of that, Since you can't hit her when she has that green crap around her, she revives what little damage you do to her when you can hit her. Does anyone else find this utter ridiculous or is it just me?
-
Ok.... *deep breath*
Those of you who have played this for PC, how did you get past this level?
-
You put one leg ontop of your computer desk, a duck on your head and whistle to "Mary had a little lamb" to increase your damage by 500%.
Hope this helps! :D

AHA!!!
That wouldn't surprise me. I love the fighting system in this game, but the unexplainable features just to provide some artificial difficulty is what annoys the hell out of me. I know this is normal in all games, but its never ceases to irritate me. Such as this: Take the SWAT team members with the Plexi-glass ballistic shields. Do you seriouslly think "The One" would have a problem throwing a punch or a kick right through that thing? Seriously! Somehow I don't think a guy that can fly, run through walls, and take on hundreds of agents and survive would be knocked around by a couple of men in plexi-glass shields......LOL.
Anyway. Any actual tips would nice.

Well, I finally beat this game. Aside from the control and camera issues, its a pretty good game. Most of the frustrations I suffered were due to the fact you have to replay a level a million times until you either got the right timing down, or you figure out how to beat a "boss" or level. You know, the normal single player game stuff.
