Just a fair warning that you should seriously consider staying away from using P2P programs at your school.
Recently, in the lab I work in at my school, someone downloaded a new episode of The Sopranos via P2P, and HBO's lawyers contacted the school and my professor threatning to take action.
She had to meet with them today, and each of us students in the lab had to call her and tell her that we did not download, etc.
In the meanwhile, they've shut down that specific hub of internet access in the lab.
Pretty scary stuff - just be warned that you seriously need to watch your ass with P2P programs at your college or university!

Ha, most of our stuff at school is blocked unless you know the teachers code..... **shifty eyes**

We have 99.9% unrestricted access to the net, if we get caught its the student who was logged in for that hour that gets in trouble, not the university. I think your just being stronged armed.

Wonderful little tool to use when downloading torrents. It blocks IPs for companies that log IPs on torrents etc etc. Just remember to disable it when your playing a multiplayer game.

Yeah I love that tool!

Why would you download torrents at school? I don't understand these modern schools full of computers will gigabytes of free space for every student... crazy.

Get with it HBO. All the other networks are moving towards streaming from their websites. Sending out stupid threats was SO three years ago.
I've also heard it is legal to download copywrited material. It's just illegal to upload to anyone else, which naturally happens during p2p.
