AT least in my opinion. If the issues associated with being in a top faction keep you from having fun, I guess I don't blame you. i suppose it just depends on what you play the game for that determines how you handle real idiots in a fictional world. Some of us just handle it better than others.

Last night alone the reds were both calling me by my first name (they found it via a facebook group about MxO) and chanting about hurricanes flooding their houses (my town got f*cked up by Hurricane Katrina). These are both very personal insults, and if I wanted to, I could make a big deal about it, but instead I just put them all on Ignore. Yes, Ignore. Problem solved. It's really that simple.
I'm not going to keep you from leaving if you want to leave, but you'd really be shooting yourself in the foot. Do you think they'll just forget about you when you no longer have the FA tag under your name? Oh no...they'll have a huge party with the fact that you aren't in FA anymore. Your new nickname wll probably be "FA Reject", even when you explain that you left on your own - they won't care.
It can be lonely at the top and people will try to claw your eyes out if they find a weakness, and in that accord it's not for everyone. We think you are a great member, though, Rogan, and we'd much prefer you to stay. I guess it's a question of whether you'd prefer to ignore those that heckle you or ignore those who consider you a friend. Either way, best of luck.

Just want to echo pretty much what Tbone said.
If you leave, you'll only be giving the assholes even more ammunition than if you stayed. They'll delight in the fact that they got you to leave the faction, and they'll use that to get to you. Their goal is to make you not want to be a part of FA. Don't give them what they want.
If what they are saying is bugging you that much, then just put them on ignore and you'll never have to hear from them again.

On another note, leaving just because of ridicule never helped anybody. I know it's hard to deal with, but hey, you're not alone up here. We all have to go through it, and you don't see any of us just packing up and leaving (unless we lose interest in the game.)
This is your choice though, and if it is what you choose to do, then the best of luck to you and your new faction. I hope your future en devours prove to be rich with success.

I won't shun you for leaving Rogan, but I'd honestly miss you. You've been a great factionmate, and who gives a shit if some lowlife jerks give you hell? Every single one of us would step up to defend you in a heartbeat. You've found a home here I think, and I would't worry about anyone outside of it. Why do you think jerks are jerks? Same as always, they're jealous of our reputation. Try to be proud of the heckling... they wouldn't be doing it if you as an individual player and you as an FA didn't matter to them.

Don't leave Rogan, I've hardly gotten the chance to get to know you yet.
I know that some of these morons in MxO have the ability of getting under your skin in ways you couldn't imagine, but there are plenty of douchebags in this world, many of which plague MMO's and online communities, and not a single one of them matter. Fuck 'em!
You've got to keep in mind that these pathetic shit-sacks simply wield anonymity, pick a target, and fire with unlimited ammo - but they never hit. We're here for you, and that's what matters. It's your experience, not theirs!

erm, sorry, been a little afk, had inlaws for the week too as well as a three week old; rogan, not sure what happened but you are a good good man and should not give in to tossers bad mouthing you. btw i should be back in game a little more in the evenings now that inlaws are gone and harry is settling.
