Title: Switching tactics are an exploit?
Post by: Anonymous on July 09, 2007, 12:34:11 pm
Have any of you seen this thread on the MXO forums? It appears that switching tactics from say speed to power right before a move hits is an exploit. 9mm said that they know about it and that it will be fixed at some point. Looks like another nerf to me.

He actually has a fair point.  I hadn't really considered the speed/power tactic since like most people I use it all the time - but what he says about special abilities (i.e. switching to Karate) is a very valid comment.

This has been around since CR2 went live.

When it works, it's really nice.  But I suppose to be fair, it shouldn't work that way.  Damage buffs shouldn't be applied to a special after it has been executed.

Worst case scenario: They'll add a five second cast timer to each tactic, which will break combat even further.  Imagine having to lose a chance to attack just so you can switch from one tactic to another.
