Title: New Zion Uniform - Final Vote
Post by: Tbone on July 31, 2007, 02:47:27 pm: So the beanie vote was pretty much dead even - half and half. I've made an executive decision and we are going to stay with the beanie for now. It fits my design idea better than no hat, and it seemed to grow on some of you, so just give it time. I think with all of us sporting the uniform, it'll look good.

So the final vote is once again about the shoes. The white shoes won over the boots, but I have one more option - black sneakers. To be honest, the white shoes are really white and the black shoes are really black, but those are our options at the moment. Vote on one or the other, and if you happen to find some shoes that you think perfectly match the uniform, let me know.

We will be using the New Zion outfit for the operation taking place on the 3rd, so we need to decide and have copies out to everyone by then.

White sneakers don't give off that kind of "rough and tough" look that the rest of the uniform seems to convey.

Nobody ever looks bad ass in white sneakers. Case in point:

Second, if pink and powder blue could be the badass colors (1860s), why can't white?

Further more, we can make white look badass because those shoes will be upside someone's head. They'll say, "and then I saw a white flash before my eyes and then I was knocked out" :-p

Oh and Black is ftw. I really can not see us being aken seriously with White Air Force Ones on when in the dirt and fighting. *shrugs*

In all honesty, I just did a google search for "white sneakers" and Timberlake's name came up. I figured a picture would be the final nail in the coffin, and everyone would jump on the black sneaker bandwagon. I've grossly underestimated everyone's desire to dress like a Backstreet Boy. :p

I may not have ever seen an episode of Star Trek, but at least I can find solace in the fact that I don't make distinctions between boy bands.
