Title: Spider Man 2
Post by: Anonymous on June 30, 2004, 01:07:21 am
Ok, truthfully, who else is extremely excited about this movie? As actually owning the first issue of the Spiderman comic (dont ask how I got it, just now it cost a lot of money.

The first Spider Man was good, but this looks to be sooooo much better.

And although this has nothing to do with the movie, I picked up the soundtrack for like 7 bucks. Its one of the best soundtracks for a movie I have ever listened to. A lot of good punk/power rock. (The Ataris, Taking Back Sunday, Yellowcard, Train, Jet, Dashboard Confessional, Smile Empty Soul, Hoobastank, Maroon 5, Midtown, and, yes, the Lostprophets)

I am perfectly with Zink. It rocked, but the little corny jokes they keep putting in just brought it down.

Zink and Eroz... you both suck.  I really wanted to see the movie today, but turns out I won't be able to until Saturday.  On a scale of 1-10, what would you give it.  No wait, how many thumbs up. No wait, how much better than the first.  No wait, just tell me how good it was.

I just got back from seeig the movie. Yes, their were some corny parts, but they werent the well placed jokes. Mostly the speeches, "the world needs a hero", blah blah blah. Overall, in every aspect I found it to be a much better movie than the first. Except no rain scene were Kirsten Dunst's shirt became see through.

9/10. Or, to go rolling stone, *** 1/2
Two thumbs up.
It was an excellent movie, best superhero movie ever, better than even Superman I IMHO.
Much, much better than, by the way I see it now, the lacking first.

And might I add, Doc Ock is sooooooooooooooooooo much cooler than the Green Goblin, and might I add much better acted.

Although I didn't think it'd happen, I actually got to go see the movie today after all.  I just got back, and it was great.  Yes, a little corny, but it works well in a comic book themed movie.  Alfred Molina did a wonderful job as Doc Ock, and the story was well written.  The CG fight scenes were some of the best and coolest that I've ever seen.  9.5/10 (missing Kirsten in the rain). Can't wait for Spiderman 3, May 2007.

come on guys, if u were truly faithful to spiderman u would of noticed when she was shackled with doc ock at his little dock thingy that she was wet and a tid bit cold :) if u catch my drift.  but u didn't notice it, thats ok, im not usually looking at a girls face when i say hello anyway.....soo :)

oh and 9/10, very awesome special effects with the fusion reactor and doc ock, a little much when the doctors try to cut off the tenticles, but still very good.

I'm becoming a jaded movie watcher.  The first time in several years after having watched The Crow that I was really "wow"-ed by a movie was The Matrix.  After that, I was not again wowed by a movie until Lord of the Rings.  I have not been wowed since, including with any of the Spidermans.  It was entertaining but not awe inspiring for me.  I felt doc should have been given a more prominant role - he seemed sidelined and he's one of the better villians that peter parker faces.  I felt dunce was given a shit role this time around as well.  She was whiney and complainy and I couldn't tell why parker didn't just say "later bitch."  The action scenes were still exciting and I did like the growth theme for parker.

I haven't played the good versions yet, I got a copy of the pc version and hated it, though. Luckily it didn't cost me anything... Wal Mart is pretty good about taking stuff back. :)

I'm seeing this next monday. My friend saw it and said it was really good so i'll trust him, plus i thought the first one was good. Though certain things were off, i realize that they don't exactly have the same liberty time wise when cramming years of comic book plotline into a 2 hour movie. So of course, certain things must be changed/left out. But still they did a really good job on it.

I thought the movie was pretty good. A lot more happened than I expected to happen. It looks like they are doing a trilogy.

If you get the game, do NOT get the PC version.

I've heard the third Spidey movie is due in May 2007. I assume it will continue with the "Harry avenging his father" business, and as such the villain will most likely be the Hobgoblin. He happens to be one of the better Marvel villains in my opinion, along with the Doc and probably Magneto.

Even though I wasn't floored by the first two Spiderman movies, I'll still see the third. I'm curious to see how they end it. It would be extremely cool if they worked Venom into it, as I think he is what becomes of MJ's near-husband. But I may be wrong on that one.

Dosen't come out here till Friday, but ive seen it, the powers of the Internet *evil grin*. I think the Premier of it is actually tonight. Monday.

Oh and ive seen and own Equilibrium, the fight scenes are great in it but the story line isnt up to much, but still watch it for the fight scenes. A film I also recommend you see is donnnie darko its about a kid who gets told that the world is gonna end in 28 days or so by a guy in a rabbit costume. It sounds really screwed and it is, but still a good film, i'd buy the dvd with the extra features so you get what its on about, or watch it 3 times.

I saw the movie the first day it came out, but since i just joined today, and got abilities to post on the forum, ill put my opinion now. i think this movie was awesome, it was a lot better than the first. Alfred Molina did a great job as playing Doc Ock, and was a way better villain than the green goblin. the story was better, and it was more action packed. I have heard rumors of Spider Man 3, with venom as the villain, and im sure thats gonna be great.
