Title: MxO Graphical Bug
Post by: Tbone on January 05, 2008, 01:24:49 am
Anyone else getting this bug? Names above heads are getting cut in half and hover icons are all screwy. Not sure how long it's been like this...

And yes, that appears to be boobies...lol.

I've gotten something like that (the name issue), but the other issue has been more landscape distortion...I'm running Vista Ultimate, but never got the issues under XP so it could be Vista issue (if your running vista) as nocry pointed out.

I'm not running Vista. I haven't changed a thing.

I get weird stuff like this if I minimize the game window and then maximize it.  The only way I've been able to fix it is to either enter the Loading Area or switch to windowed mode.

Also, hooray for boobies!

it's a DX9 vs. dx10 issue (that's why it's happening most often in Vista), did you recently update your graphics card or drivers or any updates period?

No, not that I'm aware of...I think the game Crysis did a check of my DirectX. But I don't believe you can have DX10 unless you run Vista, right? Oh, and I run the game in Windowed mode, but that's nothing new, either. I haven't noticed anything that fixes it. I first noticed it when I came home for the break. Before then, it's been a while since I've jacked in for an extended amount of time.

When you are in MxO make check your "overbright" setting.  If it's on turn it off, if it's off then switch it on and see if that makes any difference.  I vaguely remember that fixing a similar problem I had once.
