Title: The Agency: 'Crew'

Does anyone know if there are going to be any 'Crew' type elements?

I was thinking that we could do something with our ship names i.e. "Libertas Branch", "Veritas Branch" etc.

Nothing for certain yet. I believe I may remember reading something about how guilds will be "special agencies" or "agency branches" or something along those lines. I forget how they worded it, but I doubt anything at this stage is concrete. As to whether they will have a grouping similar to MxO or just have one large guild...dunno. If we get in the community early enough, maybe we can help shape that.

Networks/Joint Agencies

Once players have achieved a certain level of prestige in the game they will be able to create or join "networks" with other players. In terms of functionality, networks are similar to guilds in other MMOs. Networks in The Agency will have access to special network missions that will pit rival player teams against each other in a competition to complete a common objective first. In an interview with AGI, the developers have stated that these clan-like groupings will also be called 'joint agencies'.

Has anyone looked into how current intelligence agencies are structured?  Some adherance to reality would aide with the immersion and our RP efforts.

I know that there are "field" ops and "house" ops... loosely translated from the Matrix as "jacked in operatives" and "operaters" ?

We have to get out of the habit of saying "operatives". "Operatives" are going to be NPC trading cards that boost your stats and do things for you, basically. I think we're going to be "Agents".

And yes, we need to start a collection of every site keeping up with The Agency. When our recruitment ARG is ready, we'll want to blast all these sites with our mysterious messages!
