Title asks it all...

I don't understand what your asking, that is pretty vague.

Typically you name your character the same as your alias here...

Unless you have multiple characters... in which case mine are all offshoots of my primary name.. Heironymus, Heiro, Heiron, Rony, Heir... Such as that..

Actually, we have to have a last name in this game. Should we all have the last name FA or something...haha.

Ahh, let me clarify - as a roleplaying guild, are there rules or guidelines about what you name your character?  Kinda hard to roleplay when the person you are talking to is named "Noobkillah McBadass".  And since names are the very first impression that is made in the game, I consider them pretty important.

We don't have any 'official rule' other than common sense. But chances are names that you described above wouldn't gain you any respect points :)

But basically your main character should be the same as your alias here, aka, Jaelum, and then if you feel the need to make alternate characters (if the game allows) for RP purpose then just keep them respectable.

Interesting thought on the last name though... would it be ridiculous if we all had FA based last names? Or all the same last name? Is that hillbillish?

We should all share the same vague and mysterious last name. Something to make us a little more recognizable and infamous.

Don't burn me at the stake for agreeing, but the "noob" makes a good point.  :D

I would just say don't be stupid about it. Hahns Solo...mmm, nope. Just like we didn't want Ne0345 in the Matrix. Your normal alias is fine (like Tbone) with some sort of last name that has significance to you (maybe Tbone Angelicus or Tbone Libertas).

I wonder if I could do the name "T bone". Either that makes me mysterious because I have no last name...or just stupid.

I do like the idea of having an (optional) universal last name.  Makes it easier on me.  I always struggle trying to find a cool last name without being cheesy.  I've been Zero Da Hero before, hahaha.

Oddly enough, no. Sparkly vampires are gay. Lestat was a badass before that prepubescent eunuch became popular.

Unless my previous suggestion is considered and I'm given a last name (which I wouldn't mind at all if it was cool) I'll probably be Orphaeus Velas first, and Alaras Velas if I make a second character, although I can't imagine why I would. Those are two names I use for almost everything

Hasn't it been determined that we will only have one character.....unless of course we buy a second client copy of the game?
Title: Re: Character name policy?
Post by: Anonymous on January 28, 2009, 08:51:58 am
I believe it said one character per server, if you want another character you can create him in another server.

Jeyk Evigilos = awesome

Lits Libertas? not so much. I would say Lits Angelicus, but I think T's grabbing that one. I'll just stick ith Lits Angelus.
