So I've been incredibly bored recently with no MMO to play and desperately searching for SOMETHING to keep me occupied until APB and SWTOR release, and I stumbled across Fantasy Earth Zero.

It's made by Square-Enix and is currently in Open Beta Phase 1 (with a wipe scheduled for March 10), though it's been available for a good while overseas.
I thought it'd just be another boring grindfest with obnoxious anime characters, but I'm actually really digging the KvK (Kingdom vs. Kingdom PvP) wars.  It's got an active battle system where you actually have to aim attacks and abilities, sort of like Darkfall's.

If any of you are looking for something to play, I think this might be a fun little diversion until the real games come out.  Also, it's free!


P.S. I'm currently on the Boreas server affiliated with Yelsord, but with the coming wipe I was thinking of going with Hordaine (though if we get a FA Corps going, I'll be on whichever side we choose).

Looks interesting, I'll check it out. Anything from Square gets my immediate and undivided attention, thanks for the heads up. :)

My only interest in this would be if enough of the faction were to start getting into it.

I honestly think that since the merger with Enix, Square has flipped itself upside down and managed to fuck up every intellectual property they have.

The FF Zealots don't give a shit how much they butcher it, they'll still keep buying which clearly shows considering how much FF shit they've been pumping out.

For anyone interested, Open Beta 2 starts Wednesday March 17 (next week).  Not sure on the time yet, but it's a clean slate so everyone will be on equal footing.

Today's the day; Open Beta 2 (might as well just call it release, since everything is carrying over from OB2) starts today!

I'll be joining Hordaine on the Boreas server.  I hope to see at least a few of y'all in-game.
