So I've been going on a rampage changing my username over all my internet stuff, mostly from Eroz to Lotier. Mostly because lots of places have Eroz, so I have to register at Er0z, which I hate due to a hate towards numbers in, or as Erozz, as a lot of sites have a 5-16 character requirement for usernames, which I hate even more its a SQL database field who cares about the string size.
So you guys are the only place I still call myself Eroz, and was thinking about changing it to Lotier, but want some opinions on it first, as Lithium pointed out, I've been Eroz here for 6 years.
-
Honestly, I think you'll always be Eroz here.
-
It would take some getting used to.
-
ACCESS. DENIED.

Hell Lith went from, Lightspeed, Double O something (lol, can't remember) to Lithium.... Lotier sounds fine to me. We'll get used to it.

Yeah, I was also 16 years old at the time and had been around for maybe 3 months.

I was considering the same thing, as no one can actually pronounce Heironymus.. Either just keep it at Heiro or change it to my avatars name for every game I play which is Roryn.. hmmmm

I've always pronounced it Heir-onee-muss?

Nobody can pronounce my name correctly, but that hasn't stopped me! Heck, since I'm pretty sure there's no "real" pronunciation I've just decided to pronounce it the same way y'all do.
So maybe you're wrong and the others are right, eh Heiro?
By the way, I think Heironymus is cooler than Roryn. Also, I think Eroz is cooler than Lotier.

I thought it was "hair on my arse" for a very long time.

I've often times thought of changing my name as Tbone is so common and doesn't really fit with my persona. I've used it since I was 15, though, and now I still have people recognize me from MxO as Tbone, so...
-
MxO and FA kind of formed my nickname. I use to be DJ Rubix. When I started MxO Fuse just fit with the MxO world and eventually I changed all my names online from Rubix to Fuse. Luckily I hadn't done any serious recording as Rubix, but I still have some items from those days with that name on it.
When I almost got fired for some stuff on a message board I had the owner (one of my friends) wipe everything and he renamed everything that said Fuse to Ghetto Ninja. Now at least there I'm "GNja".

I've often thought of changing my name too, Eroz. I say if you want to -- go for it. It's not anyone's call but your own honestly.
-
Here is my two cents.....
Which is more meaningful? The reason you took that alias in the first place or the reason you want to change it?
-

Ironically that is actually very close to actual pronunciation.. :)
I think I will leave it at Heironymus and just go by Heiro and my Jedi Consular will be Roryn (female character)
:)
Eroz.. do what you gotta do boss.. I would recommend leaving your sig as Eroz/new name though so us old timers still know what to call you..

=)
