I didn't know if anyone saw it yet, but GameSpy has a 3 page article on their beta experience.  This guy actually got into actual gameplay points & hints as to...just go read it.

normal? what's that?? oh!! that's the town where i go to college!!! ... then no, sevvie, that's not normal ...

but yeah, the new beta pictures are kickbutt. I didn't notice that there was no blue in the movies or that things were red when they changed. but then I remember in the first movie when neo had deja vu with the black cat I think the carpet was red .... I could be wrong ... but it was the first scene that popped into my mind ....

He wasn't beta testing per se. That article is based on a press summit where editors were allowed to play the game for a few hours. It's not quite the same thing as beta testing.

I just thought it was nice that he could "leak" a little info to us.  At the same time, he got to play (and tell us how it went) and then give feedback.  Sure, his feedback happens to be posted on one of the largest gaming sites on the web...

Maybe it was like a beta arcade & he's out of quarters now...

Personally I liked the IGN take better. The Gamespy version seemed too ridiculing. If you read the IGN version, they mentioned a newspaper, The Sentinel. We'll have something to read while imbibing our coffee code!

There's nothing wrong with a little criticism. Especially in the MMO Genre, where every MMO currently to exist is such an utter piece of crap that you just can't help from being cynical of future releases.

Sometimes I think that some of you don't care whether or not MxO will end up being any good, that you'll love it simply because it's the Matrix.

That seems... foolish, to me.

I hope WB does not give one of those dumb beta things to fileplanet so then the flieplanet staff give the beta for free to any subscribers to the founders club.I won my gamespy subscribtion, what the hell do I get now?Woops I forgot they replaced it with the gamespy founders club, I'm no longer special :(

Yeah, hopefully beta will no be based on whether you pay for some subscribtion.

But he did say he was the first in Beta
