love the sentinel. the guardian's shoulderpads remind me too much of WoW art style (which always bugged me along with warhammer 40k)

I'm with Paitryn; the second Guardian armour set looked eplicly shit. Sentinel looked niiiice though.

Well, I liked them all. I loved the Sentinel set and I don't have problems with big shoulders. Actually, back in WoW raiding my dkp points always went first to shoulders.

I really liked the footage, the whole big shoulders thing even if I don't mind it make sense for what is supposed to be a heavly armored class. I will admit those particular shoulders looked like crap but, you got to remember its progression armor. The first stuff we will have access to will not be that stunning in the visuals department.
In the end all first generation stuff is improved tweaked and changed. I'm positive that better gear will become available as we level.

Eh it looks like they are following the WoW model that as you progress levelwise, your shoulders will get bigger and bigger. It was something Iconic to Warcraft from its Warhammer fantasy roots (the original warcraft strategy game was supposed to be for warhammer till citadel/GW pulled the plug), but its just not something that feels like it belongs in star wars.
at least its not the Sith Warriors spikes of self impalement anyways.

I actually like better the first Jedi Guardian Armor than the last... that armor is just gay... i just hope that i can toogle my /hood whenever i want >_>

Precisely... I want to have my hood on, pretty much all the time... On the video the Jedi Guardian dont have his hood... only the second armor of the Jedi Sentinel has it on :S

There is a big difference between a game and what we know from the movies. What I mean by that is since they are making a game odd things such as armor types a jedi would never wear, weapons certain classes are restricted too and a lot of different stipulations are always going to be in a game.
I currently still play wow and actualy raid pretty seriously, copying something so successful isn't so bad is it?

I mean, you want reward for your actions, and though Jedi typically wear their robes and trust in the force... having some slick armor is kinda nice.
And besides, this is much older and more eloquent than the newer versions of the Jedi, so perhaps a little pomp isn't so bad a thing. Obi Wan throws on armor, and does so pretty well.
The biggest thing to remember, this is a time period where there are a TON of Jedi, and they are at war. So who's to say they don't break out the tanker-gear when they're expecting to walk out into a serious battlefield?
I agree the shoulderpads for the Guardian are just a bit over the top (we could make them sawblades and he could be a Mad Max extra), but I think the armor design in general is pretty solid. That, and I think the whole look and feel of the Sentinel is wicked. With the hood up, he reminds me of a sort of Jedi hitman. No nonsense, go get em'. And if he happens to look good while doing it? I'm down with that.
