Title: Fundraising Event for Guild Funds!
Post by: Tbone on March 27, 2012, 06:00:10 pm: With the new information (http://thefuriousangels.com/index.php?msg=116958) regarding costs involved with guild banks, I thought it would be a good idea to go ahead and start gathering funds for the guild now so that we'll have a nice bank set up as soon as 1.2 drops!

Rather than ask for donations out of pocket, I thought it'd be fun to have an actual fundraising event. This will happen every Monday after the meeting and interviews up until 1.2 launch.

The plan is to all do the Ilum and Belsavis dailies as a group and donate the credits gained during that run to the guild. I'll keep a ledger of what we earn from whom. You can earn up to 200k per person for doing these runs, so if we have 30 people run them, that's 6 million a week! Depending on how quickly 1.2 plans on going live, we may have it twice a week (possibly another one on Friday), but for now we'll try with doing it on Mondays.

I figured this would be a fun way to have a guild activity while earning funds for the guild without asking members to sacrifice their individual income. If you are level 50 and haven't completed your story quest yet, I recommend doing that and going through the Ilum and Belsavis dailies now so that all the quests are unlocked for you. If you aren't level 50 yet or don't have the quests unlocked, we'll try to think of other ways for you to donate during the event!

I'll be rounding up anyone who wants to do them (around 12-3pm FA time) and donating mine (and hopefully others) proceeds.

Post by: Sared on March 27, 2012, 07:55:30 pm: IMO, the dailies are pretty mindless and do not require a lot of effort to complete. I'd just as soon get a group of four together and knock 'em all out during the meeting, if we've no interviews to conduct.
