Title: Combat Log
Post by: waz_here on April 12, 2012, 08:26:26 am
Which parser are you using?
Here is a post to get the conversation going:

http://www.reddit.com/r/swtor/comments/s60ai/combat_log_parser_roundup_instructions/

Open "Preferences" in your game
Go to the "Combat Logging" tab
Check the box that says "Enable Combat Logging," then click the "Apply" button
Pro Tip: You can uncheck & recheck that box right before an operation (or flashpoint) to start a fresh log file
To find your combat log, go to the "My Documents" folder on your desktop, open the "Star Wars - The Old Republic" folder. Then open the folder titled, "Combat Logs." Pro tip: sort by date, and grab the most recent one.

Currently using MOX and I like it however it is missing some of the serious analytical tools many of us are used to.

For instance I want to see how many times I've used an ability, how much on average it hits for on normal hits, how much on average it hits for on crits, etc.

The Pros:  Easy to setup and use, runs on your local machine and has a few nice customization options.
TheCons:  Could use a more indepth set of analytical tools, graphing functions, etc.

I'd like some more reviews.  Post em up!

Mox keep crashing on my computer... it sucks.

Mox gets grumpy when there are too many files or you swap to alts too much.

My solution is turn logging on in the swtor client, do your testing, raiding, whatever with MOX running, then disable logging in the client.

Gotcha... I'll have to find another option though. It crashes after only a couple minutes of use.

Yeah I'm hopeful that people test a lot of the options.  I'm not thrilled with it either.

My new favorite after tonight's raid - http://swtor.askmrrobot.com/combatlog

Web interface that's east to use, ability to merge logs from everyone in your raid, and very useful set of statistical metrics.

Give this one a try!

The site also has a nice character builder! We should start promoting this for our raids and try to get everyone to participate!
