Title: Keylogger
Post by: Anonymous on August 11, 2004, 10:30:12 pm
Hey everybody, I was wondering if anybody knew of / had a half-way decent keylogger. I want to put one on my computer for a few reasons and I'm looking for one that will send a report to an e-mail account since I'm away from my computer for weeks at a time sometimes.

I wasn't sure if anybody would have one, but I figured I'd at least ask. Thanks in advance :)

Well, as long as you're sure you're using it legally, or you assure me you're using it legally anyway, I can find you one. Running one on your own computer is legal, as far as I know... but it's like tapping phones. You only have the legal right to tap your own. =P

Hahaha, well then I can assure you it will be used legally. I just want to load it on my desktop and laptop. So I guess I'm just wanting to log my own phones per say :)

They bad thing to get in to keyloggers, as the people that usually make em, have a part that sends information from ur comp back to theirs, like "virus guard programs" that are really viruses, but im sure it wouldn't be that hard to make one yourself, above my head though.

I don't think he wants a hardware keylogger.

And I would NEVER trust a keylogger that somebody else had made.. Quantum is right, it could easily be sending info to the programmer as well as you.

I'm going on vacation tomorrow, otherwise I would make you one. The keylogging part is REALLY easy,
it's the e-mailing thing that's harder, because it has to run its own SMTP server. Maybe instead it could upload a text file to an FTP?

It doesn't really have to e-mail itself out if there was another way I could reach it, like through FTP. I just want to be able to access it when I travel away from home, which is almost every weekend.
