You guys might already know this but here it is anyway.
It seems like a 10-discs DVD box set of the trilogy will come out for christmas.
I've been holding out on buying the DVD of each movie just because I was waiting for this :-)
There's supposedly and extra hour added to Reloaded and a bunch of extra stuff !
Supposedly Joel Silver wasn't happy with some of the editing of the movies so the movies have been remastered.
Cool ! Hope Santa brings me one of those :-)
If you want more details take a look at this:

Hmm... thanks for the info, but I will have to try and download it first. I've seen all the movies mutiple times, so there must be a lot of interviews on those extra 7 discs. A lot.

The first one, then the third one...
The second one really wasn't good..

I think Reloaded and Revolutions were good. They could have been better if the producers didn't have that many problems.
First, Aaliyah dies in a plane crash. They had to reshoot her scenes and bring back other actors that played in her scenes.
Second, the actress that plays the Oracle dies. They had to find another one and change the script to explain the new look of the Oracle. They probably had to reshoot some scenes.
Also, I think Cari-Anne Moss broke something during one of her stunts.
I'm sure that a bunch of things happened that we don't know about.
I know that problems are part of any film making but let's say that the producers of the trilogy had more than their share of problems.
Things really haven't gone that well during the two last movies. I think they came up with something pretty good regarding the circumstances.
Anyways, I am just blinded by my love of this trilogy so I guess they can do no wrong :-)
-
Well they did at least explain the changing of the Oracle's apperance, that her apperance didn't matter just what 'she' knew. Even without the problems I still think that The Matrix would be a better then Revolutions and Reloaded. They are all superb movies though, my favourite trilogy to date.

10 disc ?! o.o I bought all 3 dvd's but I plan on buying the set also :) And I liked them all the same, but for the vote ill do rev.

Something about Reloaded... It just flat out kicked ass. I know alot of people didn't enjoy it.. Well, I completly enjoyed everything about it.
-
To me Reloaded was missing the feel of the original. That doesn't mean it was a bad movie, it was an excellent movie, I just don't feel it was as good as the original.
-
I like the original the best. There's just something about it that tops the other two. Reloaded was really awesome too. However, revolutions could have been way better in my opinion. Even though it was a great movie, it just seemed to be missing something that the other two had. So, the original Matrix reigns champion over all.
Thanx for the info on the trilogy set

I loved the 1st one, and the thirdwas so huge, but reloaded was a bit of a let down, but wqhen you try tofollow somthingthat changed the movies for decades to come, you are fighting a hopeless battle.

When it comes to the Matrix and it's idealogy, I don't think anything compares to the first. You can tell from the getgo that script was written over years upon years of agonizing for a perfect balance of detail, effects, and martial arts. This can be seen in the depth and layers of the The Matrix storyline. The philosophical side in the following two films seemed lacking, more one liners than trying to see how deep the rabbit hole really goes as well as too much special effects. Well....let me restate that: It seemed that they cared more about topping themselves effects-wise than developing the scripts as well as the first. Don't get me wrong I was drooling over all the effects, I still fully enjoyed and was entertained by the second two films, but I wasn't jumping out of my seat screaming and running to the box office to get my 2nd and 3rd tix like I did for the first one!!! : )

I would have liked more surprises story-wise to in reloaded and rev...the biggest would have been the architecht scene (very big one too), but other than that...matrix was the king of surprises..
When you watched the first one, you saw awsome combat and incredible effects. At least when I watched reloaded and rev, it was a "seen it before" feeling to combat. Except for the super brawl in rev..-that one was awsome.
The first one were just awsome all the time :D.
Oh, man...I really don't have the money for this box set...money, money, money...

I liked the original the best, for a few reasons. I liked the fact that the original was almost entirely taking place in the matrix, and not in the real world. It was cool to see Neo learn everything, and discover the truth and all that.
The 2nd and 3rd movies were good, but they just dont match up to the first one.

I received my box set today ! Woohoo !

I've had one since a week before Christmas, but I can't watch it until next week. My sister bought it in Cali wher she lives, but she's not coming to Arizona until next week when she'll give me my "Christmas" present.
-
That's too bad, Enoc. I can tell you right now that it's amazing. The two features on The Roots of the Matrix are worth it alone! But the Philosopher commentary is the icing on the cake.
Plus I got a little bust of Neo! *glee* /kungfuspeed2

I would have to say the original Matrix movie is the best. While the other two movie/story lines are similarly based, there was alot of other things going on.
In most cases it is the first movie that draws people in and gets them hooked and it what keeps them coming back for more.

ok, just so you guys know...there's the box set of the matrix movies where its just a box set....but then theres the better one.
im talking about a clear plastic box set that has each DVD in its own tray, and since the DVD / DVD trays only take up 1/2 of this box set, the other side has a figurine-like thing of Neo's upper body, some of it is in coding, the rest normal, and on the bottom of the figurine stand is like machine coil n whatnot....now THAT is the real box set...it costs $100 though.....*notices $230 dollars in cash right in front of comp* now if youll excuse me, ive gotta go get something...
