Post by: Anonymous on September 05, 2004, 10:42:01 am: For some reason I can't get past the part of the registration where you have to imput the code in the image. To me it looks like NDV7NR7 but it won't accept that. I've also tried doing it all lower case and no luck. Hmm...it's supposed to protect against automated registration...does that mean I'm an automatic user!?

Post by: Anonymous on September 05, 2004, 02:57:18 pm: Well for one the game was freezing up my computer and I was forced to restart each time, 2nd infantry combat is crap in my opinion.Everyone went up and down with their jetpacks trying to kill eachother.

I would say its Unreal Tournament with jetpacks and bigger vehicles...

Post by: Anonymous on September 06, 2004, 08:06:59 am: I tossed an older box up on my network as a dedicated T:V server. It's a 2.4 p4 with 1g of ram and T:V server is all it's doing at the moment... so it should be kosh. The server is listed as:

FA_TV_DS

The password is: redpill

Feel free to abuse it. You can vote to change the gametype if the current one isn't to your liking. Just thought people might like a server with people they know (ie. us) and who haven't been playing in the closed beta (ie. us again) so that they weren't jumping into a fragfest with a bunch of vets (ie. everyone but us).

It will be a bit intermittent on uptime for a few hours as I adjust network settings – I’m starting from a ut2k4 ini file which should be solid. I’ll try not to take it down for maint when anyone is on. There also appears to be a small memory leak that means I’m going to need to restart it about every 24hrs. We’ll see.

If someone is somewhat addicted and wants webadmin rights to dink with the server, feel free to drop me a pm and I'll set you up.

If no one cares, I'll take it down in a few days and throw something else up. :D

Post by: Anonymous on September 06, 2004, 11:05:13 am: Umm...does anyone else just get a black screen when the game starts? After it actually starts it's just a black screen and I can only see my cursor if it's within a few inches of the center of the screen...anyone know why this is happening?

EDIT: Never mind, I got it working. And all I have to say is...holy crap, this game is fun!! If you haven't downloaded it yet do so immediately!
